Wishful Wednesday - Career Change

It's Wednesday...and well, no more comment on that one. You should know what I normally do on Wednesdays *besides work, wallow in self pity and all that*...Wishful Wednesday!!!!

'I wish' .... I had the opportunity to change careers and it would be _..._!

You know the second I read this week's topic I almost started crying!!!!
Don't feel bad for me now, but it's exactly what I don't need right now and still do need. It's my time to change careers and it drives me insane.
I'm not happy with my job, and my field and I should and will change this.
Not sure what though.

So, this week's topic made me shiver...yes, I could skip it but what's the fun in that?!
Plus, I claim that writing always helps so I should follow my advice and go for it.
I do wish it was that easy to change careers...so if I had the opportunity to change careers...I would wanna do three things. Not at the same time but still two things...two I wanted to do for a long time so don't laugh okay. One would be acting *hahahaha...yes, don't laugh, but I am laughing right now so you're allowed to do so, too*, and the second one would be writing. Maybe not. I might just go for opening up my own coffee store where I am the boss and can come and go as I please (almost) and have fun in what I'm doing.

Why acting?! I always loved it. I still do. And yes, I did stage acting. Long time ago but I did, and I was good at it. Plus, I love to change and to pretend I'm someone else. Then again it's not always pretending.

Why writing?! Not sure. I love it. It may not be the best, and I may not rock it but I love sitting and jotting down stuff. Yes, I do. I loved writing essays!!!! YES, believe it or not I loved writing essays...and coming up with the weirdest stories, great advice columns, and such. Not sure why I didn't major in that field?! Maybe I thought it was about to destroy my future?! Hmmm...have we met yet?! My now-future is just very plain and boring and it's not what I love.

Oh, and the cafe?! It's part of what I majored in (not coffee making of course), and it's what I love to own one day if ever possible. I love to work with people, for people not so much but it all depends on how you work for people. Plus a coffee place that makes tons of people happy and lets them read books, study, enjoy great drinks and such...why not?! It would make me happy. I know there are a ton out there but they all look the same or have the same concept in mind; and mine would be different.
Wouldn't want to tell you now. My secret would be spilled.

Why these three career changes?!
People, people, people.
I love working with people, talking, pretending, changing, organizing, writing, reading, story telling, coffee drinking, hosting, being surrounded by tons of people, being the center of attention, not being the center of attention, sitting alone next to a window, dreaming, wishing, imagining, etc etc ....

...so why not?!
Or if you have an idea on what I could do, let me know please.
Ideas are highly appreciated. Trust me on this.
No matter how weird your idea of my new career might be still let me know. It may help me a lot.

I just believe that we all should be doing what makes us happy.
No matter how silly, stupid, weird, different it all may be to what we majored in, learned, and started with we should be doing what we love and what makes us happy.

If it destroys us it's not worth continuing whatever we've been doing.
If it ruins us it's not worth it.
If we dread each day it's not worth it.
If we wake up and are happy in whatever we're doing it is worth it.
Even if it means to wake up at four in the freaking morning. Even if it means to get a bad salary.
One of my friends majored in graphic design and art history and all that...today she's a social worker. The pay is horrible, the job really tough but she's loving it. She loves her kids, and she loves the people she works with and works for. It's all that matters. She sure misses her art time but she loves helping out and making sure all her kids are being taken care of and get what they deserve because they are special and deserve the best life possible. Granted, there are times she doesn't love it all...but that will always happen. It cannot be 100% happy job/career time...there are times we can't stand it; it all normal. But if you can't stand it to 80% something is really wrong there...so yes, I'm so going to change careers.

Anyways...that's about it.
I'm gonna look for more fun answers on Kelsey's blog!
You should, too! :)

Happy Wednesday.

I know. I have talked about having a super cute botique and at inside it have a cute little coffee shop where we sell yummy homebaked goods like pies and what not. You can do the coffee side, I'll help bake and make super cute clothes!!

This is such an interesting question, because I too cannot imagine doing anything else (I am a teacher). I completely believe that everyone needs to try and pursue what they love:)

But I guess if I HAD to change careers, it would be into a field of social work...
