Happy Friday!

One week of 2011 has passed...have you enjoyed it?!
I hope you did.
Whether or not you were stuck in bed being sick, working or studying again, chilling like me, or slowly trying to get back to normal after some terrific New Year's Eve party! ;) Yes, some people still have a hangover...not me though. ;)

In honor of Friday I'm going to do Lauren's Fill in the Blank Friday today.
I haven't done this in a while. Kinda getting excited about this. :)
Here we go:

1.   Winter is    cold and miserable. No matter where you live. :) The only good thing about it is Christmas!!!! :)

2.  Summer is   bright, fresh, hot, and colorful!!!! If it was up to me I'd have summer all year round (with some occasional chilly days of course!).

3.  If it were summer instead of winter right now I'd   be swimming in the pool, going to the beach more often, eating more fruit salad, having BBQ time with friends and would be enjoying my favorite season of all. ;)

4.  My favorite thing to do in winter is    drink hot chocolate, curl up on the couch under a cuddly blanket, watch TV, read books, and be just super comfy in all my layered clothes!!!

5.  My favorite thing to do in summer is      hang out with friends, and staying out late and not having to worry about a jacket (even at 10pm).

6.  The ideal outfit for a sunny summer day is    something comfy that gives me this beachy feeling all day long, sandals or flip flops and of course sunglasses.

7.  The ideal outfit for a frigid winter day is   thick tights, and lots of layers... a funky sweater, a hat, and some colorful gloves. Just thinking about it makes me shiver!!!! .

I'm gonna live the next two weeks beautifully!!!!

Hope you are having a fabulous Friday and a fantastic weekend.
Any fun plans ahead?

I'm going to celebrate a friend's birthday this Saturday!
YES.

Fill In The Blank Friday

Wow, an entire week passed by. Scary.
Well, hope you're all doing fine. I'm doing marvelous.
Soaking up the sunshine, shopping, eating delicious (mostly Persian) food, organizing stuff, clearing my head...it's just perfect vacation time. :)

Yesterday I had a little scare there for a second or whole minute or two...I thought I'd lost all my pictures. Hello? Are you kidding me beautiful pink camera? What game are you playing? Seriously. I thought I would die right there. It told me I had only taken 7 pictures, and that I only was allowed to take 48 more. So not possible. I know I could take up to 4000 if not more, depending on the size, and I also knew I took more than just seven photos. You should have seen me. I almost swallowed on my gingerbread latte.

I fixed it though and I have my 400-something pictures back and can take 3000 more. Thank you.

Shoe shopping is a horrible thing these days....after having my nails done, my hair put back into shape it was time to find some cute shoes. Oh yes I did. However, I didn't buy any. Why? Well, I have some ankle issues. It's mainly the skin around my right ankle that is super sensitive so any shoe that comes even close to that area - as beautiful as it may be - is a no go. As huge as South Coast Plaza may be it's not going to a help to me because my ankle sucks. :(  So, off I go again today....maybe I have better luck.

Tomorrow is my friend's birthday. :)
This means three day of partying. Yes, three days.
Today, tomorrow and then Sunday.
Today it only means going out at night, watching a movie around 11pm, tomorrow it's her day and we are trying to pamper her as much as even possible, and Sunday...well, she wants to see a movie (Tangled), and do some sightseeing because I know L.A. better than she does. And who's been not living here for the past let's say very sad five years?! Oh well. We'll do some crazy sightseeing then. And I'm gonna show her my avenue too. :) Yes, there's a Selma Avenue. :)

So wish us luck!!!
Birthday weekend it is!!!
I'm already stressed thinking about it. :)

Though for today, I decided to go online (and not just check emails and facebook or twitter) and oh boy, my reader hit the four digit number there and I do not know how I will ever go through all of these blogs. ;)

Either way, it hit me because today is Friday...and well I decided to play along at Lauren's little Fill in the Blank Friday fun. So here it goes:

1.   I wish    I would have a bit more than just a million dollars so I didn't have to worry too much, nor think about school four hundred times before I apply or so, and of course besides the million dollars I also wish to have a steady job with perfect income.

2.  Yesterday I   went shopping at the mall, and I was shocked that my friend bought more than I intended. She hardly shops at malls, let alone in those stores that I went to...but oh boy, she bought, I frowned. ;)

3.  Today I will     watch TVD, clean up, relax, go shoe shopping again and start the birthday weekend with lots of energy. :)

4.  Tomorrow I will    see what life has in store for all of us, because it's not my day, it's going to be my friend's day. And if you haven't noticed, birthdays are special to me.

5.  Maybe     I'm going to push myself to drive up to Ventura next weekend. I know I should, I'm just way too lazy these days.

6.  Someday     I want to get married, have kids, live in a nice neighborhood and enjoy having two dogs around me. Especially around the holiday time I get a little emotional thinking about what I could have right this second and still don't. :(

7.  I love    waking up to sunshine, drinking coffee in the morning and just getting the day started. :) Very simple I know  but it's the little things that usually make the top of my list! :)  .

That was it. :)
Loved it.
To play along simply hop on over to Lauren's blog. :)

Hope you are all having a fabulous Friday!!!!

Fill in the Blank Friday - Thanksgiving

1.   My Thanksgiving plans this year will include  last minute packing, and eating some turkey and whatnot because well, living in Europe it's not really something that's celebrated. For the past few years though I always came up with something that would somehow come close to a traditional Thanksgiving meal. :)

2.  My favorite Thanksgiving was   (and this may sound bad now) while traveling up to San Francisco and skipping it all!! I was fed up with school and tons of paperwork, needed a break from all those people around me and the stress that that particular Thanksgiving day had in store for us so I ended up buying a bus ticket (yes yes!) and spent a few days in SF with friends. Best time ever!!

3.  My signature Thanksgiving dish is    something I still have to figure out. No one's gonna be eating anything this year, but I'm trying to make my very own stuffing and mashed potatoes...somehow. Maybe one day someone will appreciate it. :)

4.  My favorite Thanksgiving food is   stuffing (obviously I could eat it all year round) and turkey.

5.  Thanksgiving free association!     stuffing (yes, I love that stuff), turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, movie time, tons of leftovers for later on, and family/friend around the table.

6.  Thanksgiving is     time to pause and be thankful for all the things we have. It sort of marks the beginning of real winter and an invisible countdown to enjoy the last weeks of the year.

7.  I am thankful for    family, who always sees the best in me no matter what, for friends *far or near*, and for my health. I'm thankful for clean water, food, coffee, and heaters in the house. I'm thankful for being alive and breathing every minute, and for having a future. I'm also thankful for cute clothes, inspirational music, traditions, books, and possibilities waiting for me and for everyone else around me. This could go on, but I won't...it's little things that make up my list...even my daily alarm clock making sure I get out of that oh-so-sweet dream and get on with the day. We may take it for granted, but in all honestly we shouldn't.

For more fun answers, and if you want to play along...just go on over to Lauren's. :)

In other news...today is a hectic day.
Not only do I have to help clean everything but I also have to help prepare tons of finger food for this evening. Mom's got family over (or how she calls it, 10 people you also know!) and we sort of get all together as a pre-Christmas, pre-winter, farewell-gathering. It's something she does every year, so it should be a no-brainer. Nope. Wherever I am I get a call from her asking me if she should do this or that or buy this or that and then ends up not doing or buying any of what she just bothered me with. :( Tonight can only be fun, huh?

Happy Friday.
Off I go...attempting to help...maybe!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Although there's this huge debate going on in this area about whether or not Halloween's an appropriate holiday over here, and how the Vatican wants to ban it in Italy and other places...it is a holiday I love and miss and cannot wait to celebrate. Hopefully next year, even more! :) But this year...all I can do, as most years before that, is watch endless hours of horror movies (my favorite time ever!), eat some candy, and wear my socks  ;)

Today is also Fill in the Blank Friday again...hosted by the lovely and adorable Lauren. Play along if you wish.

1.   My Halloween plans this year will include    staying home, wearing my Halloween socks, watching endless hours of horror movie, eating candy and pretty much relaxing. Not exactly super exciting but it's not celebrated here so I don't expect to do much :(

2.  My most memorable Halloween costume was  ten years ago, when I went as my friend. Sounds silly and boring to you, but it's not. My friend had spooky hair and all kinds of crazy stuff going on about her wardrobe and I was her, and she was me (plain and boring!)...walking through SF that day was awesome!!! So yeah, it's not just what I wore that day because it wasn't anything special but the memory makes it special!!! Forever.

3.  For Halloween this year I'm going to be   just me. So technically I'm going to be nothing.

4.  I've always wanted to dress up as    Scarlett O'Hara. Enough said!

5.  Halloween free association!    horror movies, spooky music, pumpkins, apples, candy and colors

6.  The worst thing about Halloween is  that I'm usually not around for it, but I'm determined to change that. :)

7.  The best thing about Halloween is    dressing up on the actual day, and visiting haunted houses before the actual day or on that day (either way it's awesome!)...so sad we don't have them over here.

Hope you're having a fabulous Friday.
Mine started with an incident I don't want to happen ever again. It hurt like crazy. Damn I was mad.
A drawer in the kitchen fell out (don't ask how that could happen) and of course landed on my toes. Just fabulous. I cried, I yelled, I cursed, I laughed...at least I thought it was okay to laugh...nothing is broken though, just bruised and swollen. I can still walk but it hurts. And yes of course it happened before I even got my first sip of coffee. Not a good start into this day. Luckily, it's all better now. Limping, I went out, and returned a few minutes ago...all good...with bags so officially my souvenir shopping is done, too. Now all I have to do is wrap everything up and I'm done. Wow. I hate wrapping though so this may take a while. :(

Happy Friday everyone!!

Fill in the Blank

1.   I am     a very emotional girl, a daughter, a friend, a people lover, a TV addict, and a girl so unsure of what the future has in store of her.

2.  I wish   I was able to make up my mind faster, and not worry about something too much or put way too much thought into a matter. This has never helped me in any way, it usually made things worse.

3.  I like    music, horror movies, the colors gray and purple, laughing, TV, books, flip flops, hot chocolate with marshmallows, the environment, the sun, and body lotion!

4.  I can   not believe I haven't bought my Christmas/New Year's tickets yet. I'm such a slacker, and a total chicken when it comes to that.

5.  I hope     people will appreciate the world more, and not just the environment but also everyone around us. Love peace and happiness for all would be such a fantastic way to start 2011!!! :)

6.  I think     life is too short and we should appreciate each and every moment we have in life...the good, the bad, the ugly, the funny...and the scary. It's part of our journey and it's part of who we want us to become because we never ever stop growing up, even when we are adults and think we are mature enough, we never fully grow up so this life is long and worth every minute!

7.  I was    going to skip Fill in the Blank Friday today but thought today's blanks were a cute idea to start the day...just perfect to ponder upon life, the world, and what makes us us. Wow, it's the first time ever I use us next to us. ;) .

If you want to join the fun, just go over to Lauren's blog. :)

Happy Friday everyone.
It's sunny outside, and hopefully stays this way too...it's just so bitter cold...not very nice fall weather. :) Yes, I admit it...I like fall it just has to be warmer...not 80 degrees but at least somewhere in the higher 50s or 60s. :)

Friday!!!! Fill it all in, and have some fun

Ok, didn't know what kind of title to put there so there you go...a mixture of everything.
It's Friday, it's October 1st (ohmyohmy!), and it's my day off. I woke up to the smell of waffles, although there weren't any around me so that felt weird. I made coffee, had some, enjoyed some sunshine (barely visible...too much fog or clouds or a combo of both), and am now sitting again in front of my laptop. I have good reasons...one, I am going to find a flight that'll cheer me up (hopefully), and I want to catch up on my TV shows...yes I just said "my" TV shows. Not sure if these are good reasons, but who cares. I have no plans for today. I want to stay home and relax, take a bubble bath maybe, sleep some more, maybe do a home-facial or something...paint my nails, read a book or so...just be me at home doing nothing and still doing tons of things. But before all of this...here's Lauren's Fill in the Blank for today!!! Have fun.

1.   True happiness is     being and feeling  loved, appreciated, warm, and burden-free.

2.  The most surreal moment of my life was  /is  when I encounter deja-vu moments with scenes that could never have happened before but are happening right now. These make me dizzy and confused. Not sure if this counts as surreal though .

3.  My favorite texture is       tweed, and silk. And oh, smoothed wood that just calls for my attention!!! ;)

4.  My signature color is     black, gray and brown. Yes, not purple or pink and yes, not just one color! They match with everything and go with everything else; at any time.

5.  My signature style is    simple earrings, and a necklace that goes with my outfit. Sometimes a scarf too. Nothing too much though.

6.  If I could choose one store to spend my life savings at, it would be     ...not sure...just one?!  Not fair!! I think J. Crew then. It's got pretty much everything a girl needs or could need or whatever. Then again, I would never want to spend my life savings on just one store let alone spend my life savings on a store in general. ;) I love to mix and match from all different places, so this is quite a tricky blank to "answer".

7.  My best thing about autumn is      the layered clothing, and the warm drinks that come in handy now more than ever. However, fall over here kinda sucks and is mostly foggy, wet, and so not colorful...so I would say the layered clothing is the best!!! Keeps me warm.
For more fun, visit Lauren's blog and play along. :)
And for some fun moments...
Keeping Up With Kelly & Co
I didn't really come across anything that would brighten my week.
However, opening my reader today...first thing I saw was the following link...kinda made me smile. And that's what needed, every single day. No?! Yes!!!!

Hope you're having a fabulous Friday.
Can't believe it's October already.
I'm so behind everything. And yes, although I just started buying Christmas gifts I need to hurry up...what if I'm spending Christmas in California instead of Europe?! And then I would have to send all those boxes out before I leave because there's no way I'm going to take it all with me and send it from there. Way too complicated (maybe cheaper) but way too much to handle and think of. Crazy thinking today. And I still don't have a job to look forward to but am thinking about vacationing?! Someone please give me ideas or at least a doctor's number so I can go in and talk and get better?! Ha!

Happy October 1st!!!!
Wow.

Fill in the blank Friday

Happy Friday everyone!
It's been a long week...and it's not going to end soon...but in the meantime and to make it look shorter here's some fun stuff:

1.   When I get a day to myself I like to   sleep in, lounge around, and watch tv. While watching tv I would pamper myself with some mani/pedi or something like that, drink hot tea or just enjoy a quiet moment all to myself. The phone's turned off and no one can bother me. Best feeling ever.

2.  High school was....   meh. Yes, not my favorite time. If there's ever going to be a reunion you can bet on it I'm not going.  I went to a all girls' high school. Do I need to say more?! Girls can be extremely mean!!!

3.  A little dream I have is   visit Australia. It's not a good dream or so, but it's one. I wonder why I haven't done this yet, then again I don't want to do this major trip all by myself. I know, silly.

4.  A big dream I have is   to have my own little family...husband, kids, maybe dogs living in a great house somewhere. Too much?! I don't think so.

5.  If I could drive any car my pick would be   any sorta good-looking SUV hybrid that drives smoothly and brings me to A to Z. Like this one. And I would never turn down a Lexus hybrid. :) I'm a Lexus girl. Sue me.

6.  A time that I felt really and truly beautiful was   ...I think I can't say/share anything on this one. I mean, I'm not married (yet) so it can't be my wedding day, and I haven't felt truly beautiful in a while...not even my birthday!!! But wait...I think there was once this time when I landed at LAX after a long flight and for some reason looked stunning. Don't ask me how that happened but my aunt asked me if I had time to change or do my make-up?! Hmmm...I think I felt great just being there which made me look radiant!

7.  Tomorrow I will....   be working 9 hours from 6.30am on, and it's not something I fancy doing on a Saturday but someone's gotta do it. Good things is I can go home later and make brownies so I can bring these to work the next day and give it to my nice co-worker :) Yes, I do have nice ones too. And yes, I do give brownies away because, ya know, I don't like chocolate!

If you want to play along or read more answers visit Lauren's blog and join the fun.

Hope you're all having a fabulous Friday.

It's my mom's birthday today, my day off and I just know it's going to be a lovely day (with or without the current rain - boooooh!!!!).

Fill In The Blank Friday...

Happy Friday everyone.
Today is Fill in the Blank time again...
...let's see if I can do this today.

1.  The most adventurous thing I've ever done is     ...I'm not a very adventurous person. You can also call me boring. So it might be just sneaking back in at 6 in the morning?! Of course mom caught me.

2.  If I were a pair of shoes I  would be   a pair of purple or black flats...nothing shiny but cute enough so any wardrobe would work with them at any time. I would never be a high heel...haha! Cute and comfy is the word!

3.  My preferred mode of digital communication is    texting because it's cheaper. Yes, I pay for my text. Ok, I get 50 free ones but that's about it. I'd rather call because I think a phone's main purpose is exactly that. :)

4.  I feel happiest when   I hold my cup of coffee in my hand and nibble on a muffin at a coffee shop. Sounds very weird I know but it brings back memories of happier times, and it literally calms me. This is all I need at this very moment.

5.  A little dream I have for my life is   to own my very own house. Boring I know, but it's what it is. Oh yeah, preferably overlooking the Pacific. ;)

6.  The one modern convenience I could NOT do without is   internet. Enough said.

7.  Music, movies, TV or books:  if I could only choose one to enjoy I would pick   movies. Any kind just makes me super happy. Then I would choose TV, books, and then music, or a combo of the tree as my second.
For more fun answers hop on over to Lauren's blog and join the fun.

Hope you're having a fantastic Friday.
I just got home from work.
It felt like an incredibly long day.
I am exhausted. And yes, it's Friday...doesn't mean I can relax tomorrow though because I need to go in again...and hopefully my nose will be back to normal and my voice sort of operating because whispering while working is not a lot of fun. :(
Being sick during summer sucks big time.
Hope you're all having a great day.
Any fun plans for the weekend?!
Me?
Thank you for asking...I'm headed to Germany. *with or without a cold hovering over my head!*
