A Fall List

Summer is slowly but soon officially coming to an end and fall is practically around the corner! At the beginning of summer I put together a summer list filled with things I wanted to accomplish throughout the season. I wanted to make memories and challenge ourselves to find ways to enjoy summer better! As we are slowly leaving summer, with extreme temperatures as usual, I want to make sure I am enjoying every bit of the new season as well. My summer list, just like the spring list, didn't fully get accomplished but that is okay. I love fall and cannot wait to see how much I get to tackle this season. And what I don't accomplish I get to accomplish next time.

Here are some of the things I’m looking forward to doing this season; wish me luck:
  • change my blog
  • go apple picking
  • make an apple pie {tried so many times and failed, so hopefully this season I can do this}
  • go to at least one pumpkin patch
  • carve pumpkins
  • wine tasting
  • upgrade my fall wardrobe
  • explore more surrounding cities
  • finally go to the old town underground tour
  • decorate patio and porch for fall
  • enjoy one Pumpkin Spice Latte
  • create new chili recipes
  • go to a local fall/halloween event since the one we usually went to closed down
  • find fall recipes to cook for Thanksgiving
  • create fun fall diffuser recipes
How's your fall list coming together? Anything exciting I have to add to mine?!

Books to read this fall season

Reading has always been one of my favorite things to do. Last year I literally lost interest. Life changed quite drastically and I had no desire to get lost in the written word. I felt alone, hopeless, sad, and confused. I wanted to change my mood and find books that inspire me again. Honestly it was tough. I'm still working on it, but what better time to approach this whole reading thing when fall is around the corner?! Yes yes! So I decided to create a list of books I think are perfect to read during this fall season. And what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a book and a hot cup of tea or chocolate?!

I have had All the Light We Cannot See on my to-read list forever. It is about time I start reading it, isn't it?! It also won a Pulitzer Prize. I love those kind of books anyhow.

I read Me Before You in German. I liked the film, but I still prefer the book. So naturally I want to read After You. I know it is not going to be the same book, and the story won't be as heart-warming but I still know I'm going to enjoy it this fall.

Whenever I enter a bookstore I see Big Little Lies. I even saw it at Target and somehow it also ended up in my recommendation of books I should read. I think it is time. And I'm all about a novel about women and their lives, and I read it will become an HBO series in the future?! Hello, yes!!

In Twenty Years is a novel that confronts friends to face their past. I'm a sucker for stories like that. Plus, when temperatures drop and it slowly gets darker I want to hold a book that forces me to get lost in it and face my own past and how it has shaped the me today. Can't wait!

Family portraits. What can I say?! These are the books that keep me warm when temperatures drop or rain is about to show up. Everything I Never Told You will be all that, let me tell you. It will suck you in and I can't wait to not want to put this book down.

I have been waiting for this book for so long. My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry is a book I want to read because it will challenge me. I read books that go back and forth, and books that make me think, and I read books that are super abnormal and what not. Either way, this will be fun and I cannot wait!!

There's a few more books I'm interested in but these are my definite favorites. Hope I get to read them all this upcoming fall season. Wish me luck! Any books you would recommend to me?! Or any author you fancy? Let me know. I'm always open for suggestions.

Bright - Orange

October means orange. No?! To me it does.

Honestly, I am not a huge orange lover. The fruit or color. Yes, I don't like oranges. I have to admit when I end up eating a juicy and sweet orange I love it but the citrus acid sting...yeah, not my thing. However, the color is amazing. It's bright. It's fresh. It's just so October! Plus, hello....I love pumpkins. For decoration and carving purposes only!

Untitled #115

Oh yes, so getting this jug. So getting this...maybe even in orange, maybe in another color. I'm so excited October is here and I have finally an excuse to wear my orange nail polish again. I hope it's still okay. Haven't used it in months...well, one full year to be exact. It will still be fantastic on my nails. I can feel it.

Have an amazing day!
Feeling orange inspired as well?!

Hello October

http://politicaldresser.com/fashion/how-to/868-how-to-have-lucid-dreams

Three more months and this year will be history. Crazy how fast this year went by. Scary, too. I am very happy to see this month today. It not only shows me that time passes, it also shows me how much I have healed since May. Plus, this month I would like to start fresh, start new...or at least start with an uplifting spirit. Every day, every minute.

This month will be fun, too.

We have tickets to a stand up comedy show of one of our favorite comedians. We have plans to meet up with friends from SoCal {I hope it works out}, and we have plans to go to pumpkin patches, to an annual festival in a nearby town, and we have definitely plans to enjoy this month in full length and spirit {see my post on fall traditions}...after all it is one of my favorites. Seeing leaves change color, feeling a cooler breeze, and tasting more fall/wintery drinks and foods...that is my favorite part. Oh, and I can finally wear all those scarves I have and my new boots!!! Hello for new boots {ones that actually fit my short legs!}.

Dear October,
Thank you for showing up...please bring us some cooler temps, and a month filled with happiness and love. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Me

Dear Fall

Dear Fall,

How are you? I heard you officially started a few days ago. I always welcome you on September 1. You know it is almost October, don't you? Yet, you still feel like July. I love July but what's wrong with you? Having some difficulties adjusting? I mean, it's okay if you want to be slightly warmer than normal. You don't have to show us your rainy side or even windy side yet. It's okay to be warmer, it really is. But, you are not warmer you are hot. 95 degrees is too much, and that is just a forecast. When your temperature peaks it is usually 101 or more. Your sun is strong, and I mean really strong. I got sunburned. I always wear sunblock but your so-called fall sun burned me. This is not funny.

So, to make this letter short, can you please work out the tension you are feeling and come to terms that you need to be cooler, windier, and wetter? Also, leaves should really change color. Green is a great color but some yellow and red would be nice. And since I'm on it, I'd appreciate it if you could cool down into the higher 70s and make October a great month, so I can finally visualize myself drinking pumpkin-spiced-anything, eating fall-inspired pies and dishes, wearing layered clothes, and guess what? Yes, going to pumpkin patches. Walking onto a scorching hot field filled with thousands of bright pumpkins is no fun!!! Please get it together! Please.

You have to cool down at some point. Show your appropriate face and get yourself together, will ya!? Thank you in advance.

Sincerely and truthfully yours,

me

P.s. currently sipping on an iced drink because it's too hot for anything else...you get my drift?! I hope so.

Glorified - Purple

Fall time means warmer, more comfortable colors. Purple does that to me. It actually calms me. It gives me this sense of peace and quiet. It makes me feel hugged in a way. Sounds weird I know but that is how I feel. It's a glorified feeling...I also feel prettier when I wear a purple top or accessory.

Untitled #113

My love for purple is huge. If you follow me on Pinterest you know I have a whole board dedicated to one of my favorite colors. Some say it is the color of "frustration" but I call it the uplifting color. Purple is fun. It can be used pretty much in any season. During a gray, rainy fall or winter it adds a splash of color to any outfit and weather, and in spring and summer it adds subtle darkness to any light-colored outfit. Plus, is it me or does purple look sophisticated? So excellent. Loving it.

It being mid-September I am going to look for a new purple top since I either lost mine or accidentally donated it. Oops! Wish me luck.

OH and if you want some luck...I have teamed up with a bunch of amazing girls to give YOU a chance to win some moneyyyyyy so you can go out and splurge!! So enter below...

Have an amazing day!! So glad it's cooling down a little.

Our Fall Traditions

A new season has started {for me that is} and every time I make a seasonal list of things I would like to do, see, cook, or simply accomplish by the time that specific season is over. This time I have only one wish. I want to create a fantastic fall season by continuing our fall traditions we started two years ago. This season wouldn't be complete with our weekly date nights {at home or outside} and fun fall traditions - my fall list for this year - may it be as colorful as I imagine it to be.

Pumpkin Patches

I am a sucker for these big giants. I love them in all kinds of colors but orange is my favorite. We found a great pumpkin patch farm last year and will most probably go back to the same place. However, since we moved I am hoping to find another one closer to our new home. We can go to two patches this year! Oh, I am very excited now. Cannot wait to go perfect pumpkin hunting again.

Pumpkin Carve Date

We started this tradition last year. We didn't have the motivation or time {that is a lie now} to get pumpkins and carve them years ago. I usually painted mine and called it a day. Lazy bum, I know. Last year we finally decided to make it an annual date day. We will get our pumpkins and carve them together. It will be a fun date, trying to compete to create the better looking pumpkin...last year we both won as we started this tradition. This year however, the competition is ON - with or without my Cinderella pumpkin {the hardest to carve, guys, but it still turned out awesome}.

Find a Local Spot or Festival to Celebrate Fall

What I love most is finding new places to go to. When we travel this is my thing to do, and my list is usually long. When we moved last year my excitement was tremendous because a new city meant there was a ton we had to discover. During the summer it was way too hot to do anything special, but during fall?! Yes please!!
We found this cute little town that hosts an annual pumpkin night. It's called the Night of 1000 Pumpkins. We went and fell in love. If you love to see carved pumpkins, lights, and people creating a free night to remember...by all means, go and attend. We will certainly go back this year. Their theme this year is Back to the Future II. This night has definitely become our to experience. Cannot wait.

I am so glad fall is knocking on our doors. I am happy temperatures are dropping {slooooowwwwwly}, and that means that soon it will be cool enough to wear a sweater, cardigan, or even jacket and sit outside and sip on hot ciders or tea. With that our fall traditions can begin. I am excited. My man and I will most probably go pumpkin hunting {haha}, then carve ours and enjoy the festivities. Yes, it's still September but as we all know time sometimes runs faster than anything else, so I am already making sure we get appropriate time off to enjoy all our fall traditions we so beautifully started.

So looking forward to our fall dates!!!

What about you? Do you have special fall traditions with or without your significant other, family, friends?
Let me know, I can always add a few ideas to our fall fun.

xoxo

Powerful - Red

Happy September!

I am not ready for fall. I am so not ready. September 1st is the day fall starts; at least for me. Knowing this day is today makes me shiver because without realizing it the major holidays will knock on our festively decorated doors. I am so not ready. Despite my current anxiety I love this powerful color. Red is so amazing. It makes me confident, ready to conquer the world and strong. It's great around the holidays, yes, but it being September we don't want to think about those approaching so fast. We want to relive summer, and embrace cooler temperatures by using this beautiful warm color whenever possible.

I love red lipstick during spring to add color to any gray day. In the fall I love doing this, too. I have never used lipstick on a daily basis. It is not my thing. However, when you get older you change your style and this has happened to me. It's normal. So, red lipstick it is. My favorite?! The one from Mary Kay. Love how long it lasts and that Mary Kay has such a huge variety when it comes to color. I need variety.

Untitled #110

Red is definitely powerful. I am thinking of adding more to our kitchen. I started with purple and red will go beautifully with it. Before you ask...yes, my favorite person loves the color combo. In fact, he does not really care about the color as long as there are plates he can eat his food from. So much for easy-goingness. Plus, since I threw my pink flats away {we parted mutually} I think it is time to find a decent and fun red new pair again.

Is red your color, or is read rather something you want other people to wear or use?!

Have an amazing day.

My Favorite Bacon Lentil Soup

Excuse the smudges on my lovely red soup bowl but I had to take this photo two seconds before I devoured this homemade dish. This is my favorite bacon lentil soup - all made from scratch. It's easy and oh so yummy.

We are all busy. Some of us have jobs outside the house, some of us work from home. We also may be on irregular schedules, so I know how it feels to come home exhausted and not knowing where to start or what to cook. Over the years that I worked irregular hours at a hotel in Switzerland I learned to make quick, easy and delicious dishes. My favorite of all was always a lentil soup - during fall of course.

Here 's what you need:

- green lentils {1 1/2 cups, soaked and rinsed}
- bacon strips {as many as you'd like, I used five, cut in big chunks}
- red onion {either half, or one whole one cut in cubes}
- chicken broth {3 to 4 cups}
- water {1 cup, or to taste}
- cumin {1 teaspoon}
- salt & pepper to taste
- parsley {1/4 cup or less or more}

Here's what you do:

- soak the lentils for at least one hour {some prefer to soak them overnight or for five hours}
- in a pan, brown the bacon and then set aside
- in the same pan, add onions for about five minutes
- add the lentils, and chicken broth and bring to a boil
- then cover and let simmer for about 25 to 30 minutes
- add the bacon either at the end of those 25 to 30 minutes or after 15 minutes
- add salt, pepper, cumin and parsley and stir and let it all sink in for about 5 more minutes

Dish is ready when you are.
It's very easy.

One thing though, make sure you soak the lentils for a long while. Some prefer not to do this and just wash them thoroughly but well, when I did it that way, let's just say lentils love to create air bubbles in your belly and it may get really really bad around you. :) Be warned.

Fall Adventures

Happy Monday Morning!
How was your weekend? Mine was great!

It finally cooled down. It cooled down to a point that allowed us to do stuff outside, still wear short-sleeved shirts and all but fully let us enjoy normal fall temperatures. After all it is October for crying out loud. October should be the month when everything cools down, and I am glad this season finally got the memo.

Friday afternoon we went to Folsom for the Night of 1000 Pumpkins and it was so much fun. Granted, I believe this is more an event for children but it is still a fun {free} event to go to and see wonderfully carved pumpkins {we definitely got some ideas in for our carving time this week}, fun costumes, hear spooky music and see the kids go wild for candy one week before Halloween. Yes, they do this every year on the Friday before Halloween.

People went really out and carved beautiful pumpkins. I am more a very ordinary girl, carving the simplest of pumpkins {or painting them}, but we saw pumpkins I don't even know how to they did it let alone how long it took them to do all this - very impressive. Also, Country Living named them #3 among the 15 Amazing Halloween Celebrations in America.

I am so looking forward to carving our pumpkins we found a couple of weeks ago at the pumpkin patch. I don't know what or how we are going to carve ours but I can tell you it is going to be fun regardless of what we come up with. I may just carve a heart and a few scary eyes in mine. :)

Have a great day and a fantastic early Halloween week.

xoxo

P.s. I am again linking up with Leeann and Kimberlee and their linkup Monday Morning Gossip. Feel free to join the fun and make new friends!

Homemade Fall Chili

This dish is so easy. I love chili, and I especially love it when temperatures drop. It is time to actually cook some warmer, heavier dishes. Hey, a salad can be heavy too. ;) So, when temperatures dropped last week I got all excited and decided it was time to use my frozen ground beef for a perfect and easy-made chili - plus, my chili is usually less fatty because, well, I still try to keep it all on the light side.

 Here's what you need:
  • 1 pound 95% lean ground beef {or whatever ground beef you prefer, really}
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers {orange, red, yellow, or green, or all of them at once; I used green}
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic {I had to use two cloves}
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon {cracked} black pepper
  • 2 15 ounce cans light kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup {Light} sour cream
Here's what you do:

- In a Dutch oven, over medium heat, cook and stir the ground beef, onion, pepper, & garlic until beef is no longer pink and the vegetables are crisp tender {about 8 to 9 minutes}.
- Add the chili powder, cumin and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the kidney beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and water.
- Cook and stir until the chili comes to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to medium low.
- Occasionally stirring, continue cooking for about 25 to 30 minutes.
- Serve individual bowls of chili with some sour cream {optional}.
- Garnish with shredded cheese, avocado slices, or whatever you desire {optional}if desired.

Enjoy.

***

Next time I will spice up my chili with some fun extras and see how it will turn out. Cannot wait. We both loved this one and I shouldn't change a thing. It is the perfect dish to embrace fall in full force. I simply cannot believe how fast time has flown by. It is almost Halloween, almost winter, and almost holiday season.

Are you a chili lover?

My love for Eggplant

Colors enhance our daily lives. I already share my love for gray and orange with you, so I thought I would continue this walk of color-love for this season. Eggplant, plum or dark purple are my second favorites for the fall. I love to see this color on nails. It makes fingers and hands look more sophisticated, and honestly speaking, any accessory added looks stunning when you see a spark of dark purple.

New outfits are needed this month and while I cleaned my closet I learned that my favorite purple top just doesn't look perfect anymore. Needless to say I got rid of it. A new blouse or sweater in my favorite warm fall color is needed. Also, purple goes beautifully with orange. A touch of both makes for a perfect fall outfit.

Gosh, I love these colors. Perfect fall impressions making me all warm and fuzzy. Cannot wait to go out and find some pretty items for myself. Fall is definitely my favorite time when it comes to combining warm colors!

What are your favorite fall colors? Is eggplant or purple one of them?

That One Busy Weekend in October

This weekend was busy. Good busy, just to get it straight. It started on Wednesday when we went to a pumpkin patch in Sacramento. Luckily we chose to go on a hot weekday, so it wasn't crowded and we could literally enjoy the entire thing. On weekends it is always so packed and filled with screaming parents and kids...not as much fun. Don't get me wrong, if a weekend is the only time you can go then by all means. We were just fortunate to go on a Wednesday, get sunburned {it was 97 degrees after all}, and pick three cute pumpkins.

This looks like we were kissing. We were not. We don't like PDA, so when I saw this shadow I had to take a photo of it. Too funny. This was on our hayride to the pumpkin patch where I almost fell off the thing, laughed a lot and was scared for my life...after all I am a big city girl - no wonder I freaked out. We ended up getting three pumpkins we have waiting at home for their turn to be carved and eaten. :)

On Friday right after school we drove south to Bakersfield and enjoyed some time with friends and family. It was nice to get away and be around familiar faces and just people for that matter. I spend most of my time at home by myself, and have occasional talks with a few turkeys or spiders I kill {haha} but that is about it. Getting away just for a couple of days was a blessing. Bakersfield isn't around the corner and the normal four hours turned into five long hours. We didn't hit much traffic but enough stupid drivers not knowing how to drive safely. Ridiculous. We made it in one piece back and forth, and I cannot wait to go back south soon again!!

We went to parts of Kern River...amazingly beautiful, and clear. Loved to walk around the water. My feet have not felt happier. Also, we played with dogs, had fun conversations, and a wonderful get-together!

You have seen this lady before. She used to be my roommate, but since my life changes we live in different parts of this wonderful state of California. Also, I wanted to eat the dog's ears. She's the cutest dog; at least she smile while I took out my scary October face.

I cannot smile. I look like a weird robot...but at least the reflection in the water was beyond gorgeous; hence me sharing this with you. Oh and I also brought my purse to the river. Good thing, I had space for multiple cell phones so no one would drop theirs...and I made sure nothing went into the water that did not belong there. :)

Wish I could go back there next weekend.

How was your weekend?
Any fun fall activities planned for the next few weeks?!

Going to wine tasting next weekend, and spend some time with family. Cannot wait. Besides, it is cooling down. Finally. FINALLY. I am so over those 90+ degrees.

Happy Monday!!

P.s. Linking up with Leeann over for her weekly Monday Morning Gossip linkup!

Orange Makes Fall Pleasurable

Fall always makes me more relaxed. It reminds me to slow down and enjoy the little things nature has to offer. I love to drive slower {still driving speed limit though} but not going crazy. If I find a street that says 25 or maybe 30 I am a happy girl. Driving through the neighborhood and looking for decorated houses, colorful leaves and more are my favorite moments ever.

As you know I am getting rid of things this month and it has been a good challenge. Orange is not a color I have seen in my closet at all. I own a few reds {need to add one or two items}, a few greens, one yellow shirt, but definitely no orange. Granted, it is not the most flattering color on me. Yet, an earring or a soft orange sweater or shirt that I could combine with my favorite fall color gray would be fantastic. October just screams for this vibrant color, no?!

xoxo

How to Declutter in 30 Days {Or Not}

If you follow this blog for a while you know I like to clean out my closet or anything in our place during spring and fall. The usual spring cleaning involves switching from winter clothes to lighter spring/summer clothes and of course vice versa. It not only helps me get rid of clothing items I no longer fit in, want, or think are cute it also helps me feel better about myself. Yes, it makes me feel better. Having less in my closet and drawers lets me enjoy what I own and makes choosing an outfit easier and special. I come up with new combinations that I would have not thought of before.

While getting rid of clothes and accessories and all is good I always forget to get rid of clutter in other areas. Our closet is not the only thing. There's so much more to organize, get rid of and make it look good again {at least for the time being}. While browsing for ideas I came across a 30-Day Declutter Challenge. I was a little shocked to see this list and read through but when you think about it, it makes sense. You don't want to clean and organize all in one day. One area per day seems logical and will make the process {fall cleaning} so much easier and more fun.

How to declutter in 30 Days:

Day 1 - Fridge
Day 2 - Pantry
Day 3 - Kitchen equipment
Day 4 - Linen closet
Day 5 - Medicine cabinet
Day 6 - Makeup and Skin Care products
Day 7 - Jewelry
Day 8 - Clothes
Day 9 - More clothes
Day 10 - Underwear drawer{s}
Day 11 - Accessories {scarves, belts, bags}
Day 12 - Shoes
Day 13 - Junk drawer
Day 14 - Car
Day 15 - Garage {if no garage: more car or car cleaning supplies, etc}
Day 16 - Desk/Table{s}
Day 17 - Books and Magazines
Day 18 - Receipts, Mail, old Paperwork
Day 19 - Data on the DVR, and on the computer, and phone
Day 20 - Gadgets and accessories {do we really need those empty batteries around: recycle them}
Day 21 - Media {DVDs, VHS, Games}, and board/card games, toys
Day 22 - Storage
Day 23 - Travel items
Day 24 - Entryway
Day 25 - Pet items
Day 26 - Craft supplies
Day 27 - Holiday decor {Easter, 4th July, Fall, Winter, Vday, Birthdays}
Day 28 - Gifts
Day 29 - Kid items {if no kids, then anything else like extra blankets, cleaning supplies for the house}
Day 30 - Anything you have not touched yet {patio, flowers and plants} or then just relax and sit back.

It is October 3 already...so yes, today I will be looking at the kitchen equipment. Since we moved a few months ago most of our items are new, but some are older so I might as well check with those and see which ones I still need/like and which ones still work or could work better. I either go right out and buy a nice replacement {if the budget allows it} or I will suck it up and work around the older not so well-working equipments. Fingers crossed.

Cleaning the fridge was an easy task...we have a small fridge, and the pantry is kind of non-existent so that was quite nice as well. I now know what we still have and need to use in the next three months. Loved the first two declutter days - I am a happy girl.

IF you don't feel like following a daily challenge {some people don't like that idea, or feel overwhelmed} I would only clean out the closet, shoe area, and bathroom/makeup section. It's where we have the most and hardly let go of most. I am looking forward to completing this challenge because it is my first challenge {besides my instagram #100happydays "challenge" I am currently working on}. I will feel so much happier come November 1 when I have a cleaner, less clustered home.

Are you fall cleaning?

October

Month number ten!! 10!!!
Hello October.

I am excited and at the same time I am shocked.

We have so many plans this month.
We will visit family friends, go apple picking, enjoy a pumpkin patch nearby, carve pumpkins, and decorate for Halloween! Not to mention the changes I have envisioned for this blog of mine. I am still working on it {including the Facebook page that will be ready to click on soon, but you can guess the name already and if you happen to find it on Facebook you are more than welcome to like it, just saying}. We will have fun and I hope we enjoy what fall and especially this month has to offer.

Happy October 1 my lovely readers!!!
Wishing you a fantastic month filled with warmth, fun, laughter and lots of colorful leaves!

12 Healthy and Relaxing Bath Ideas

With temperatures dropping the time has come for more bubble baths. During summer I never took a bath. California is known for its constant drought, so why waste extra water just to soak up when it is actually 100 outside? Exactly. When it cools down though, and the state doesn't tell you to preserve water etc, then it is time again. Plus, I am cold all the time I need my warm baths.

I found this over here on Picklee, and I cannot wait to try some of these out. My favorites are the honey, oil, lavender, and cinnamon. Plus, what's so good about this is that I have all these ingredients at home. I don't have to run to the store and buy anything, nor do I have to add weird soap to the bubble bath. It may not be bubbly, granted, but it will be beneficial to my skin, mind, and probably health. Cannot wait.

What are some of your ways to get into fall, or to keep healthy?

All You Need is Gray {or Grey}

Fall has officially arrived. Cooler temperatures in the morning, earlier darker hours, and the smell of apple cinnamon and pumpkin wander through our streets and houses. With fall new colors enter our wardrobes as well. I usually go for gray {or grey}, brown, dark red, and occasional mustard. No matter what I feel gray calms and soothes me. It also refreshes me. Gray makes me feel sophisticated, clean {now, don't get the wrong ideas here, okay?}, makes me comfortable and loved. Weird, I know. It's what it does. This color is powerful.

You can combine gray with every color. Pink in the spring and summer, turquoise in the summer, red, orange and brown in the fall, and black and eggplant in the winter. Everything is possible. I like gray because I am not a huge fan of white {too see-through for me, and too delicate...sometimes I am clumsy when I eat}. Gray fits with everything, goes with everything, and make everything look pretty; even flowers, nails, and mugs.

I own my favorite gray nail polish by Essie {ChinChilly}, I even own a light cardigan, but a mug, something cute to decorate the room, or/and a gray fall jacket would be just the perfect addition to my everyday fall life these days. Whatever I come across though I do not like. It feels weird, uncomfortable, or just unfit. If you have suggestions on where to go and to look for gray items, clothes, and whatever please let me know. I don't want to rely on the internet only. I would like to walk into a store and see, feel, and touch those gray items {and yes, this just sounded really weird, I know, sorry}.

Please excuse me while I am putting my old gray sweater on now.

Excuse my Absence while I watch TV

I so want to be a Gladiator. Maybe I am one.

Aren't we all living a Modern Family life?!

I am eager to know what this new show is all about.

Bones. Oh Bones.

These are just a few of the shows that will air this week. Some started last week, more to start next week and the week after. I am so excited. While I am working on redefining my life and the permissions, I will have time to watch these shows. I will not be distracted with long reading hours, and the ridiculousness professors want from their students {not saying it's bad, in the end it will always make sense; I learned that much}.  Also, I will have more time to change things on this blog {new URL will follow, maybe even new platform, we shall see}, blog more, and finally share some wedding stuff with you {after all I am sure you wanted that to happen}, and help my lovely guy figure things out with one of his last classes. He cannot stand it but in order to graduate, in order to succeed he needs that class. It is his nightmare this semester. Poor guy.

But for now...it is catch up time on some of my favorite shows!!!

Happy Monday!!!
