Reverse Your Routine With Tresemmé

Washing and treating my hair is important to me. I don't wash my hair every day, and I try to use as little chemical product as even possible on it as well. My hair is part of me so it's natural to want it to look and feel healthy. I even switch up my shampoos. Once a bottle is done, I choose another brand. I don't stick to just one. I know which brand works well and which one doesn't work well on my thin hair. Changing my routine is also part of how I treat my lovely hair. 

When I first heard about Reverse Your Routine by Tresemmé I wasn't sure. I didn't read what made it so special. So when I first got it I realized that it is exactly what it is...it is your daily hair cleansing routine just in reserve. You don't wash it and then condition it. You condition your hair first, and then you wash it with shampoo. Very easy. Very okay to try, too.

I have to say after having used this product for over three weeks I can officially say I like it a lot. It's easy to use as the conditioner comes with a pump. The shampoo smells delicious and every time I use it I feel like I am about to walk on the beach. My hair feels smoother when I rinse it, and when I brush it I don't get knots or don't have issues whatsoever. I really like it.  

Would I buy this product in the future?
Yes. Tresemmé has never disappointed me in the past. I'm hoping by then there will be something available in the Reverse Your Routine department that strengthens thin hair even more. :) It still leaves my hair feel thicker than normal but not as strong, yet, that doesn't stop me from loving this product!!

Body Lotion by c.Booth

A few weeks ago I was sent a voucher to buy a c.Booth lotion and review it for testing purposes. I love Influenster and I am sure you have seen me review different products over the past four years from them. I have to admit that I don't always review on my blog. Reason is simple. If I like the product I will review it on the blog, but if I feel I don't like it or don't think it deserves a spot on the blog I will not.  

C.Booth however, I think, deserves a spot.

Its "slogan" is simple. authentic. trusted.

I don't know c.Booth that well, but I can say it is definitely simple, and smells delicious. I chose to get the Vanilla Butter 4-1 Multi-Action Lotion and it is fantastic. The bottle is huge, and what comes out of it smells awesome. The 4-1 action includes exfoliation, hydration, nourishment, and firming. Cannot complain about it. The Vanilla flavor definitely adds to the holiday season and we all need some warmth during this season.

Honestly though, I have to use the entire bottle to tell you exactly how intrigued I am with this product. I have mentioned in a previous post that I am lazy in the morning and sadly often skip the very important act of putting lotion onto my precious skin. Needless to say I have used this multi-action lotion, I just have not used it enough. So far I can tell that it nourishes and hydrates. Maybe it is me but I also see a glow on my skin. Either way, so far this product has not disappointed. Also, yes, I took that photo in my bedroom, and yes I decided to use it before I go to bed as I may not be too lazy to put some yummy smelling lotion on.

Verdict: I would give this product 4 out of 5 stars. It lost a star because of its price and the fact that it will take me forever to finish this product. I don't like throwing away unfinished products. It will take me months to finish this; maybe one year.

Dry Skin and Lazy? No Problem...Curel Won't Disappoint

A couple of weeks ago I received a moisturizing spray and body wash by Curel Itch Defense. I have to admit I was running out of body lotion so this arrived at the best time. Also, I can be pretty lazy in the morning. Sometimes I just don't have the time to dry my body, put on lotion, wait, and then put my clothes on and start the day. I often skip the art of moisturizing my precious skin. I know it's not good but I am only human. It happens. 

When I was sent this spray I was super stoked. Just dry your skin, spray on, rub/massage in and go. Perfect. Also, since it's Curel's Itch Defense it is made for extra dry skin that can itch. A change in season always means that our skin changes too. My skin is really dry in general so when it gets colder and dryer {although it's been super dry where we live...so it gets even worse} my skin is yelling at me. It hates me. It itches, and yes, I will scratch back.

Itch Defense by Curel has helped me keep up with my morning routine, and my hands away from scratching my skin. My skin has felt moisturized and healthier. It isn't greasy at all. Its scent is decent and not too overpowering. I prefer something that doesn't smell all day but keeps my skin happy. Also, combining the body wash and the lotion is a perfect way to start my day. I feel clean and my skin feels happy and healthy. I have tried a few lotions and most leave me either very greasy, or their scent evaporates fast or becomes smelly. No one wants that. 

Verdict: I will give Curel Itch Defense five out of five points!!!! Easy to apply, leaves my skin moisturized all day and smells fresh rather than flowery overpowering. PLUS, my skin does not itch anymore. Total win.

Free Items are the Best Items

Remember my post a few weeks ago about how much I love Influenster and their programs?! Well, last week I received my latest VoxBox from them and I couldn't be more excited. It's those little things that make me happy and super smiley. 

This VoxBox was basically a box associated with the month of February and its love theme. Their XO VoxBox was filled with love and it came in two parts. One was the box filled with goodies to try and write about, and the other "box" was a set of free lingerie of your choice. Let's just say as a girl who loves her lingerie and anything cute, I was beyond happy! Yes, I received free lingerie for testing. 

So, what's in my box this time and what do I think?!

- Tide Pods with Febreze 
These arrived at the perfect time. I am {still} running out of laundry detergent so receiving these was a blessing. Loved that they are small and hassle free. Never thought pods would work in a laundry machine {dishwasher is a different story} so I was pleasantly surprised to see my laundry come out fresh and clean. Great product!

- Skinfix Hand Repair Cream
Saw and felt immediate results. My hands feel softer, and my dry spot on my ring finger I have been trying to get rid of for weeks has been healing quite nicely. I am very impressed.

- Colgate Optic White toothbrush and built-in whitening pen
To be honest I was a bit hesitant to use this product. Yes, I want whiter teeth. Yes, I have tried other products and got nervous because they always made my teeth and gums more sensitive. What I liked about this product is that it was easy to use. Brush as usual, rinse, whiten, and go on with your day. That simple. No waiting, no trying to fit stuff onto your teeth, nothing. As a coffee and red wine lover whiter teeth are a must. So far, I this product was easy to use and my teeth and gums are okay. I have been using this whitening product only for a few days so I cannot tell whether or not they have gotten slightly whiter.

- Colgate Optic White Express White toothpaste
I haven't used this one because I am still finishing up my other toothpaste. One thing at a time. Cannot use it all.

- John Frieda Frizz Ease Collection {Shampoo, Conditioner, and Primer}
Will use these products during spring break when visiting family in Nevada, or once my current shampoo runs out. Will update my review accordingly. I cannot wait to test these because I always liked John Frieda's products. 

- Adore Me Lingerie {received two days before Valentine's Day separately from the box}
Loved my set. Shipping was fast and the product fit. I don't like ordering clothes {or underwear} online because I want to make sure they all fit so I won't have to return them all the time. I was very happy with what I ordered and loved that they have a huge variety to choose from. AdoreMe has my heart, for sure.

I just love Influenster. Also, make sure you come back for updates on these products. I haven't finished using them all so this review is incomplete. Off I go now, rubbing some of that hand repair cream on my fingers...I can see improvement and it just blows my mind. Literally.

My Love for Influenster

If you have been around in this lovely blogger world you probably have heard or seen people posting about their boxes and goodies they received - for free. If not, you are now going to read about this awesomeness! I learned about Influenster over two years ago, signed up and was positively surprised to immediately become part of this wonderful community. I basically signed up, answered a few questions about myself, reviewed products I knew about and used, and within a few weeks was sent an email telling me I qualified for a free VoxBox. My latest VoxBox is probably my favorite; I also was sent more shampoo afterwards so that was fantastic.

Naked

I received my Naked VoxBox from Influenster a week ago and was thrilled to see Herbal Essences naked dry shampoo with shampoo/conditioner samples in my box. Despite the bad rep dry shampoos get sometimes, I like this product a lot. I used to use another one for months, and recently learned that Herbal Essences offered a dry shampoo series (with different flavors, and even for color treated hair). Needless to say I was stoked receiving this box.

Here's what I learned so far:

The dry shampoo smells good (ha, yes!)

My hair doesn't get oilier

My hair feels soft when I use the dry shampoo

No weird white/gray residue is seen on my hair; and I have dark hair

Also, I use it at night before I go to bed. I sweat during the night (gross, I know) and that is when my hair gets oiliest. That is why I kind of have to wash my hair every morning. I try not to because we all know the more we wash the dryer the hair gets, etc. Plus, my skin and hair could always need a break from shampoos. So, this is when this dry shampoo comes in handy. I use it at night, let it sit for about 10 minutes even (yes), and then brush it out. Sometimes I leave it in. When I use it in the morning before I take a shower (I let it sit for a while), I make sure I spray the roots...and then definitely brush out leaning forward. Weird, but it works for me.

My hair is my hair. This product works for me, and my needs when it comes to my hair. However, this doesn't mean it will work wonders on yours. It also doesn't mean it is THE solution to a no-hair-wash-day. I like dry shampoos because they help my oily skin and make my fine hair fluffy and smell good on days I don't want to wash my hair. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try it out. The shampoo and conditioner both smell good, and when I use them I feel like I just woke up refreshed. It's a morning shower booster. :)

RedRose Real Tea

A few weeks ago I received my UniBox from Influenster. I was happy to discover a premium water enhancer among many items in it. I drink water - not as much as I should but I do. I prefer water to sodas or fake juices. So receiving a water enhancer that should taste like real tea made me curious. I was not disappointed.

I received RedRose RealTea with a Blackcurrant Raspberry falvor. As a berry lover I was even more excited and curious. So, I filled up my water bottle, added some of this to the water and was surprised to see that my water looked, smelled, and tasted like real fruit tea. Plus, and that's a major bonus to me, it did not smell fake. You know there are hundreds of water enhancers out there. Most of them have a ridiculous amount of sugar in them, taste fake, taste like citrus only whereas they are supposed to be raspberry flavored, fizz and just don't feel real.

This water enhancer is made from Black Tea, has no dyes or coloring, and can be used for both hot and cold tea. I usually use it for cold, but I am sure that when it is used for hot it will also taste amazing. Plus, Red Rose has two other flavors available: Black Tea and Earl Grey.

So, if you love tea but don't feel like making some all the time when you are on the go I'd suggest you try Red Rose to enhance your daily liquid intake. :) I'm very happy with it, and will probably buy some more soon.

My Influenster UniVoxBox

It has been a while that I shared my VoxBox experience.
Well, today I want to change this. I received the University VoxBox with little extras that will help any girl going to school to get through the day or even month. I am not entirely sure how and when I will use the nails but my roommate may have fun with those. Will use everything else though because spring to me is the time to use color and step out of the comfort zone and try something new. I am excited. 

Broadway Nails imPress Press-on Manicure

Just peel off, press on, and you are done. No glue needed. That's definitely something for me. I want it easy, simple and without any hassle. 

*did not like them. the color was great, but the nails didn't last a day. :( 

Expert Last Lip Color in Forever Fuchsia

I am ready to take my lips to the next level I guess. So pink. The shine should last up to six hours so let's see.

This pen should give me smooth writing. Note taking will be fun again.

I have to wait a little longer to try this one but I'm curious. It's not my brand at all.

Red Rose Real Tea Premium Water Enhancer

Very looking forward to this product. It apparently makes boring water taste tea-rrific with real tea. 

I'm mostly looking forward to the water enhancer, the pen, and the mousse foundation. Wish me luck!!!

Time to wash the dishes - Thanks Influenster!

Last week when I returned from my lovely winter break I was a happily spotting a box from Influenster with three full and let me say cute bottles of Palmolive Fresh Infusions liquid dishwash soap. I was stoked. First of, I love Palmolive. And second, who can resist naturally inspired scents? I could not. Lime Basil, Ginger White tea, and Lemon Thyme are the flavors I was given and I have to say I'm delighted. 

So far, the Lime Basil and Ginger White tea scents are my favorites. My roommates and I wash dishes every day, once if not twice, and it's been fun to get these fresh flavors going in our place. I actually enjoy washing dishes more. Yes, you read right. It is possible. I enjoy washing dishes, not as much as I enjoy doing laundry but that's not the point here.  Further, I not only like the way our place smells while we are washing dishes, I actually like how easy this soap works on hard stains and how it leaves the hands soft. I can't complain. So yes, I am enjoying my free dish soap bottles!

LypSyl Intense Protection LybMoisturizer

I had used this exact same product before and loved it. So you can possibly imagine my excitement when I received this one in my box. I use it every day and am still in love. It makes my lips so smooth and I don't have to reapply it every five minutes like other products I used. I think the Swedish beeswax and organic shea butter are doing their job right. Get it if you're looking for a new lip balm!

Clean Well Wipes

Love me some good-smelling bacteria killer. It smelled good, I felt refreshed and even after I had washed my hands, and counted to 60 minutes my hands still smelled fabulous. However, I only recommend these if you like citrus flavors and pouches. I don't like pouches. It's another item that goes into the trash and I still prefer the liquid bacteria killers!

EBoost

I never liked powder immune/vitamin drinks. They always felt too orange-y, and too sour. This one? I liked it a lot. I was very impressed that it didn't bother me to drink it and I actually wanted more when I was done with one glass. This powder drink (and easy to mix) comes in four flavors and I am definitely gonna get more soon!

GeoDeo Natural Deodorant

I'm assuming we all use deodorant daily. For weeks I had been looking for a new one to try. I grew bored with the one I used so this product came at a perfect time. It smells delicious. Have you ever said that about a deodorant? I had never until this one landed in my hands. I wanted to take a bite of it. Yes, that delicious! :) It's really good and works literally against odor protection. And it is clean, no white residue you are trying to hide or fight against. However, one thing bothered me a little and it may just be the heat we are having at the time...my armpits felt sticky in the afternoon or evening. The product worked and I was smelling like a fresh squeezed tropical fruit all day long but the sticky armpit threw me off. It will not hinder me from using it until it is finished and maybe purchase it later on. I love it.

Nectresse

The sweet and healthy sweetener! I was a bit skeptical because I love sugar and any "artificial" sugar scares me. BUT, this is not artificial. It is made from monk fruits and actually tastes like sugar. I was more than just satisfied with this product. Loved the tiny individual packets too. So going to buy more.

Maxi-Hair Pills

This is the only product I could not use. As much as I like products helping me grow strong nails, hair and all I could not swallow those pills. They were extremely huge and freaked the heck out of me. I was supposed to take two pills a day and it was impossible. I even halved the pills so I had four "smaller" pills to swallow but nope. I could not do it properly. I believe in not struggling while taking in vitamins etc and after one week of some huge swallow-struggle I had to call it quits. I was not in the mood to cut the pills each day and even then force me to swallow those down. It's not that I wasn't used to bigger pills but these just did not work for me. :(
But besides the struggle...I saw slight results. Even after a few days seeing results can just mean it actually works, and thinking of using it more than a week and seeing more results...WOW.

The Original Dish Drying Mat

Another fun coincidence. I saw this at Bed, Bath and Beyond and didn't buy it because I wasn't sure. A week later I get the box and voila...there's the mat. The mat is soft and foamy-feeling and I just love it. It's really absorbent and it makes me enjoy air dryer dishes even more. It's an affordable item that I would really recommend.

All in all I really liked my Natural VoxBox and will go out and get my favorite products again. I hope I get to participate in another box again because I think this is the best way to see what is out there and spread the word.
