Thinking about: Thanksgiving & Christmas. I know what we are doing for Christmas but the gifts still need ideas. Thanksgiving? Different story. We may or may not get time off so we shall see how that holiday will turn out for us. And of course, I am thinking about The Blog! Not sure yet what to do with it but bear with me as I am still here and still contemplating...time will tell and I am here today, aren't I?!

Listening: Pandora, or our local radio station online. Or, videos in the background teaching me business basics for my work from home job!

Watching: Heartland Season 10, and then some more TV shows I love! That is if time allows.

Eating: Fall has started so this means heavier dishes but heavier shouldn't mean unhealthy. I like to add more veggies to any dish, and here and there a different kind of meat dish. Chili, polenta with meat sauce, or homemade lasagna, or a great fall salad...yup, I'm definitely hungry now. It's all about loving what you're eating and being a little more creative. :)

Loving: Cooler, rainy and windy weather!! California has this reputation that it is always sunny and warm, and while it is, there are weeks and months when certain areas in this beautiful state aren't always sunny and warm. So I am super excited about that we had rain over the weekend, cooler and windier weather, and perfect fall weather. I am loving it!!!

Planning: Christmas gifts. I usually start around this time around because I get to shop everything I want to gift ahead of time {and not too early}, wrap everything and have it all ready to ship or put under the tree in December. Plus, I have been lazy thinking about gifts so this post is a great butt kicker helping me out in this department.

So yes, this is my current life lately...
...what are you currently up to?!

Thinking about: My mom. Her birthday was a week ago.. I love birthdays; she hated them. So I don't know if that was already a sign she wasn't doing well or knew her life would end a lot sooner, or if it was just her. Either way, we were both very different when it came to the big day. I wanted to make sure I got distracted around her birthday and in a way I was getting distractions in...yet it still stings knowing I couldn't celebrate with her. I just hope she had fun.

Watching: Dexter. Yes. I know it's an old show. I had to find a show B hadn't seen {which is very easy to do} and that would interest him. Voila. Dexter it is. Also, the new fall shows or new seasons are about to start or have already started so I'm sure we will have plenty of TV dates together! Ha!!

Reading: The Girl on the Train. I just got it and I'm reading it so I can add this to my reading challenge. Oh, and I'm also reading my free magazines{yes, free! And no I don't steal them. I'm a subscriber. For free though. Say what?!}. I'm a huge home magazine lover. So, Good Housekeeping, Woman's Day and all those lovely magazines with home improvements, decor inspiration, recipes, and wellness are my go-to reads...every day. Every month. Whenever I need to get inspired. :)

Loving: Connections. I have learned over the past few years, but months really, that connections are very important.

Cooking: At least one new recipe every other week. I tried every week, but I am also budgeting our grocery budget. When it doesn't fit in I'll try to at least cook a new recipe every other week to spice things up a bit. This week I tried two recipes though...YES...I felt inspired and we had most ingredients already at home...so why not!???? I'm cooking this quick recipe tonight, and I tried this one two days ago...YUMMY!!!

What have you been up to lately?!

Thinking about: September. Yay! I will partake in two challenges that month. One will be part of Jon Acuff's 30-day of Hustle challenge {I'm excited about this because I need some butt kick to get back into a speedy gear!!}, and the other one will be health related and will last 90 days. The health one will be part of a group, and so far we are like 600+ participating in this. It'll be nice because when cooler temperatures arrive I tend to get more productive as well as lazy at the same time. Yes, both. So yes, I get to walk more because it won't be scorching hot anymore, but I will also love to stay inside more and wrap myself with a cozy blanket and drink hot cocoa. I want to find a healthy and happy middle. So stinking excited, and I cannot wait to see how these two challenges will benefit my life. Wish me luck!!

Listening: Not much lately. Music inspires me but lately I feel nothing musical makes me say "yeah, this is awesome and I want to hear more!". So what I'm listening to lately is Pandora, a random radio channel, or some older CDs from Europe...I won't give up on music {heck, no!!} but I am not particularly into anything at the moment. Fall will hopefully change this soon.

Watching: This time of year doesn't have much on TV. I can't wait for fall TV to start again {hello, my lovely distracting shows!}, so I started rewatching shows like Brothers&Sisters, HIMYM, and Savannah. I also try to watch a few movies here and there. Nothing too exciting.

Reading: Three different books. 3!! What was I thinking?! I normally don't do this. This month it is a bit different. Well, it's officially two and the third book I felt like was okay reading from time to time, when I feel like a mellow, softy novel will add some reading excitement to my life. After all, we know this year I am trying to get back into reading more. The books I am reading are The Third Wave, Start, as well as The New Girl. Hopefully I finish all of these by the time I'm writing up my reading challenge for you all.

Loving: That September will be next week!!! HELLO! YES. I'm so over August. I love summer, don't get me wrong but this month has been dragging. I think mentally, my brain decided to take a step back and make me emotional again and I cannot stand that part of me. It's depressing. I want to be and feel happy. I'm healthy, I've got a great man in my life, two beautiful kittens...well, cats, and friends and family. So let me be okay...stupid stupid stupid brain...so I'm loving that September is around the corner.
Other than that, I'm in love with SteamSmart, Thieves cleaner, frozen yogurt, and homemade gluten free banana bread. Can't complain about that one, can I?!

Planning: A get together with cousins. B's cousins live close by, so we are trying to get together in a few weeks. Only thing we have to work on is to get time off. They are off on weekends, we works weekends. We can figure this out. Yes, we can. Also, since our anniversary is practically around the corner I am hoping we get to enjoy that day as well.

Working on: Being a better person. I am a great person, don't get wrong. But I always try to be better, to be more helpful, to be more outgoing, to be more me. Over the past 18 months I have become a recluse. I am an introvert, and I love to be among like-minded people, it is hard for me to get these two sides of mine merged together. I need to find a way to better myself and to find a balance in everything I do. I need to be a better person, period. Here's to feeling and being better!! Woohoo!

Thinking about: A future trip to Southern California. I miss my friends aka family. I miss the familiarity, I miss the sounds, the food, the fun, the confusion...I miss it all. Oh and I can't believe today in one month, B and I will celebrate our two-year anniversary! How on earth?! We have nothing major planned, since we are working on our budget for a future big purchase, but I can't believe today in one month is the big day...time sure flies.

Listening: I don't listen to anything lately. I listen to the radio in the morning but that is about it. Nothing in particular. I love music and get easily inspired by it but lately, it's not doing anything for me. Did I just say that?!

Watching: Just finished 11.22.63. Loved it. Also, currently re-watching Brothers&Sisters, and started with Arrow. Other than that, whatever movie we can think of. We made it a habit to watch at least three movies per week. Call it a date night, or just hanging out...but when it's 100+ outside, even at 7.30pm you don't want to do much but stay inside where it's cooler.

Reading: Our main guy at our bank sent us a book. It's more for me as he knows I read, so B tossed it my way {literally}, and I started reading it. It's the Third Wave by Steve Case. It's not the typical book you'd see me read on a regular basis but I'll give it a shot. :)

Loving: I love the fact that I feel that I am better. It's one of those feelings you need to pinch yourself because you aren't sure if what you're feeling is real. I can't even describe how I am feeling. I feel relieved. I feel exhausted. I feel free. I feel fine. So yes, that's what I'm loving currently. I believe it started last week and it makes me feel accomplished, and it makes me feel beyond happy. It may have taken me one whole year, but I am 95% me again. Yay!

Planning: Despite feeling so much better, I am still planning on getting back to my old self, my old life. I want to have a regular schedule, friends I can call and meet up with, and I want to have something to say. And I want to share all that. I want to build a future. I neglected that. I focused so much on me, and that was good, but I did neglect the present at times. The other day we went to Lake Tahoe and yes, I took photos, but none of us. I neglected to do this. I used to take lots of stupid group photos and I forgot. So I am planning on getting my old present-loving-future-planning self back.

Goofing with: Snapchat. Those filters are the best. They have had a few where they even change the voice and I am a huge sucker for those lovely filters. Can't get enough of those. I sometimes record myself calling for one of our cats and she knows she's in trouble when I do that. Yes, I'm 15 again. I know. I will never grow up.

So yes, that's me in a nutshell. I have had my ups and downs with life, and this blog suffered as well. Yet that's life, that's me...after all I call my blog Crazy Little World of Mine!

What have you been up to lately?!

Thinking about: Married life. Yes. Married life. We are doing well. It's life. It's a relationship and like everything in life nothing is easy. There is no handbook telling you how to go about a relationship or marriage because, well, every single one is different. So, I am simply contemplating whether or not we are living the best relationship we could possibly be living. That's really it. So no worries. Besides that, I am also contemplating on future travels. I want to see family abroad, I want to see friends. I want to go out and explore. Granted, everything has a price but heck, I don't want to be stuck in one place forever. It's boring.

Listening: My happy playlist. Yes, I make playlists. I needed something new inspiring me, something uplifting. So I made a happy list. I listen to it when I go out for a walk, when I work out, when I don't want to listen to anything else, and yes, I listen to it even when I cook. I feel more productive when I hear my happy songs which by the way range from oldies to contemporary, brand new singles that came out a few days or week ago. It's all over the place.

Watching: Game of Thrones. I didn't want to watch this show because I felt it was a silly show. It probably is BUT it's different and well, what can I say, we are hooked. Currently on Season 4 so we have a few more episodes to watch until we are caught up but I think we will arrive there next week. Maybe even before that. It may not be a silly show after all.

Reading: Books I downloaded for free. I just finished Loving My Actual Life so I decided it was time to read some romance novels. Gotta love the cheesy-Selma, ya know?!

Loving: That I found a way to live a happier and healthier life. It took me a while, but I believe I have become the person I always wanted to be. Not to 100% there yet but on the way. Happy, healthy, and almost toxic-free. We feel healthier and we know we can thank my own intuition and belief in a better life for all of that. Here's to a long, happy and healthy life! :)

Planning: Our anniversary. It's over two months away and it's okay if we don't do anything huge because last year we did celebrate rather big. However, whatever we do I would like it to be special and memorable. I don't only want to stay in and go out for a fine dinner. Sure, yes, that will be awesome, but I'd like to do something more special. I know on our actual date we can't do much. B's new semester starts right on that day {great!!, ugh!!!}, so we have to work around it...but something needs to be done for our anniversary. I am simply clueless...literally.

Eating: More Quinoa. I never thought I'd like it but over the past two years I have come to love. It all depends on what I make with it. Currently working on creating more dinner dishes with it, and soon even breakfast dishes. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

That is it for my current life!! What about you, what are you currently up to?!

Thinking about: How to save money. It's an ongoing thing. With B still in school we have to calculate parking permits, books, material, gas, and groceries. We save by me not attending any gym or class, by not going to therapy anymore {yay}, by only going twice a month to my chiropractor {instead of every week or every other day...I have come a long way!!}, and by us cutting back a ton on fun. We still have cable which makes me scream every month because its bill is ridiculous...BUT we don't go to the movie theater and we don't eat out often {maybe once a month if at all}. I am still thinking about canceling our cable tv but B is against it as we watch free movies thanks to OnDemand. I have been researching and I am convinced we could save a ton canceling it. Granted, I love my morning and evening news but everything in between I am sure I can find somewhere else...so in all honesty, canceling our cable would be awesome. I think. HELP.

****If you have ideas on this particular thing please let me know!! Please!!!

Listening: Turkish music. Lately I have been more into my roots and all. It's an on/off thing for me. There are moments I can't stand anything related to my roots and then, bam, I am all over it. All day, every day! Also, despite the music I am also listening to my neighbors' sounds. We have three neighbors, and two of them are beyond ridiculous. One doesn't know how to close a door properly and how to get rid of trash, and one feels it is okay to leave their two dogs barking all. day. long. A dog barks, fine. I have lived with dogs. I love dogs. BUT, when it gets excessively loud and annoying...I am over it and I am reporting the "nice" neighbors once again. Oh, not to mention the screaming and yelling. What on earth is wrong with people?! Get along!

Watching: End of Season Finales and the News. Gotta know what is going on in the world and locally. This is important to me!

Reading: Loving My Actual Life by Alexandra Kuykendall. The book I read last made me choose this book. Well, Amazon told me it may be a great one so I read more about the book and realized it may not bee too bad, and here I am reading it. Just knowing that I am reading again makes me happy because this shows me that I am healing more and more.

Loving: Snuggle time with my fur babies, but besides the obvious cuteness factor I am also loving warmer weather, great hair days, and the fact that I can cook more "cooler dishes" like pasta salad, rice salad, quinoa salads, and Mediterranean dishes I miss a ton. Just realized there's a theme in my spring cooking here. ;)

Planning: What to do on my birthday. With B in school, us working, and everything a bit crazy busy we currently have no plans. This drives me insane. HELP! Also, B's best friend is moving up north this summer so that will be awesome. He may even move very close to us {about an hour away} so if that happens I am planning a few meetings, get togethers and what not. Excited about that and really hoping he will move to that closer place because, well, a familiar awesome face is always welcome.

What are you currently up to?!
Enjoying May and the hopefully warmer temps?!

Thinking about: Lately, I have a few dates on my mind and what we {or I} should do on those dates. One is May 6, one is June 2, and one is August 29. As August is far away I'm mainly focusing on May and June. May 6 will mark one year since my mom chose to give up living life and sleep forever {yes, I'm still slightly bitter about it}. I was told, and I have read, it is best to get distracted that day and "celebrate" it somehow. I dread that day. I dread May in general. I don't know how to go about it. We have it marked in our calendar but I honestly don't know what to do that day.
June 2 is my birthday...so we are planning on maybe having lunch. My friends live far away so there's that {yes, I'm sad and alone, blahblahblah} and I realized just this second that my man has school that day. We can't even take the day off together and celebrate it. Oh now I'm even more confused on what to do. See? I have a ton to think about.

Listening: Online classes and background noises our cats are making. Weird combo I know. I love that I can have both. The classes are free, and I still get the info I need. And who doesn't like kitty noises...their bells tell me exactly what they are up to...for most of the time. :)

Watching: A couple of shows I am catching up on. We have an on demand feature and it is certainly a blessing. I do record as well. While I am trying to catch up on I also am trying to live life and stay away from the TV and the Internet as often as even possible. Life is too beautiful to sit inside and get squared eyed.

Reading: Good Housekeeping! Love that magazine. Helps me find new recipes, new ways to clean, cook, live life, and what not. Also, I am finishing up my book for the book club. We read one chapter per week, so there's no stress...love that aspect of that group. Other than that, I am working on convincing my man to choose a book for me to read...fingers crossed it is not about a serial killer on the interstate 5 this time. ;-)

Loving: My snuggle time with Luna and Lilee. Both kitties decided April was "we love mommy month". So, every second they get they snuggle with me. Not with B, with me. And that for hours!! Besides that, I am also loving the warmer weather {although it's gotten a bit too hot lately for this time of year} and the fact that my body accepts my wish to workout more...meaning, it won't let me down and so far so good because I am not that much in pain. Yay.

Planning: Our summer 2016. Last summer was a bust. This summer, well, it looks a bit more promising. B will be busy with three heavy summer courses {leading him closer to an end}, and I will be busy working as well {fingers crossed}. We had plans to go to Arizona and/or Europe and both got canceled thanks to his summer courses, but I know we can still make a trip happen. We will see if we have enough money and time to visit family in the Midwest for a few days.

What are you currently up to?!
Anything exciting?

Thinking about: Life. I know I felt very similar a month ago. This month, today especially, I am thinking about life and how precious it is. I was in a very different spot a year ago, and a year from now I will be feeling differently. Today though I have strong, very sad feelings. I'm also very happy. It's spring break for my man, and we are enjoying it immensely. That is probably why I am thinking about life and how grateful I am for what I have and how I live.

Listening: Radio music...whatever is on. When I can sing along it's even better. When not listening to the radio I listen to the dogs' tails wagging as they want to greet me every time I come around the corner, and I listen to my cat's funky alien voice when she's looking for her sister or me.

Watching: We have just finished Friends {I own all ten seasons and B had never seen this show}, about to finish House of Cards, and we are trying to watch random, unknown, films neither one of us has seen. Wish us luck!!

Reading: 5 Habits of a Woman who Doesn't Quit by Nicki Koziarz - so far so good. I chose to read this book this month due to a friend suggesting it and creating a small book club. It redefines my choices in life and every chapter helps me move on and believe in myself and my future!

Loving: Spending time with my in-laws, their dogs, and time away from home. I also love that they love and accept me so much. Despite all this, I am loving sunshine {when the rain disappears}, good food, and feeling happier and healthier. Every day is a new day for me to improve and I can see a difference. :) Oh, and I am loving the scent of our new car. Best thing ever!

Planning: A trip for our anniversary {in August}. Also I'm planning on growing professionally, mentally and physically...this year will definitely be better than the last one.

Thinking about: My life. What I'm doing, why I'm doing what I'm doing. The usual. I feel I am tested these days. Life comes in all kinds of shades and forms and that's okay. Sometimes it is a good shade, and lately it is not a good shade. Let's be honest, I think I had happier days. I need to refocus and find a medium that works for me, friends, my man, and our life. I know it's a test. I know not everything is pink filled with butterflies but for crying out loud can it please stop and be at least more comfortable around here? My current life, currently, is not that great but I know there's better days ahead, and I will embrace those better days once found. Telling you, my life is a bit crazy at the moment. :(

Listening: To the diffuser in the room. It calms me down. It is like one of those things that I can focus on and let myself go. My kitties are asleep, neighbors are surprisingly quiet and all I'm hearing is the silent diffuser diffusing my favorite calming scent away. I feel at peace and at ease. Can't complain.

Watching: The news. It's early in the morning and I always watch the news when I get ready. Coffee on hand of course! Besides what I am doing right this second...I'm watching Gilmore Girls again, Friends again, and a few TV shows that are finally back this year.

Reading: Two books and about to dive into a third one. I am a bit behind reading. I let B choose the books I'm reading this year and it started off with a heavy one, so I am not very motivated to go on but I will. Promise. Update will follow in about a month.

Loving: That I know life will be better. A rough patch is normal. Having difficulties finding a job is normal. There's worse things in life than that. Also, I'm loving my morning routine with a workout, and a new way to make our bed. It's the little things that make me smile, plus I have this new decor pillow and to see this every morning while putting it in its place makes me happy! Oh, and I am  also loving the milder weather allowing me to keep my winter jacket stored away.

Eating: A lot of veggies, and a lot less meat. I love my meat but we have to cut back for a little while and while I think this isn't torture, the budget won't fully allow eating steak all the time. Also, I am trying to incorporate more healthy snacks and less soda for the both of us. I am already cutting my soda intake for lent, so I have no issues with this one. My man? He struggles.

Thinking about: When I hear back from potential employers. Also, last week's trip is still on my mind. I'm mostly thinking about that one because, well, I miss Southern California and its fantastic breeze. It's been raining here and although this state needs water it doesn't need this much rain at once. Mud slide alert, y'all!

Listening: TV noise and neighbors slamming their doors for no reason {manner clearly mean nothing to them}. Oh, and I hear my diffuser diffusing a blend that keeps me alert and at the same time supports my immune system. During this colder time of year I will not allow myself to get sick.

Watching: My fur babies explore our home again. We picked them up yesterday from their almost two-week retreat at their "grandma's". I'm sure she spoiled them rotten. Now it's back to living with us again and seeing them realizing they are home again...priceless.

Besides that, I'm catching up on a few TV shows I missed watching while away. It's a great day!!!

Reading: Emails, blogs, and yes, even a book {not at the same time though}. Currently reading Trace Evidence

Loving: My new piggy mug, and a few new home accessories I bought while away last week. Our bathroom has a beach theme and I needed a few extra items. I want to hang out in our bathroom all the time now. :)

So, what are you currently doing?

Thinking about: How happy I am that this semester is finally over. I didn't go to school but my man did. He should have been out of school years ago but they keep adding classes or canceling them, it just takes forever. Plus, this semester he also took over some stupid night shifts {they are over} and I would be lying if I said it did not put a strain on our relationship. We are okay. It was just one hard test for both of us to pass. For the past two months we saw each other about ten minutes per day. That is it. When he was off he slept until one or two in the afternoon.
So, I am incredibly happy that this time is finally over...and my happiness is one heck of a thing to think about. :)

Listening to: Christmas music. It makes me happy and also a little sad. What can I say? It's the holidays...they always make me melancholic and sentimental. This year more than ever before.

Watching: Luna and Lilee wrestle with one another while I sip my steaming hot coffee. Sibling love is the cutest. Yes, it's love. Their play is fun and not at all aggressive.

Reading: House Rules by Jodi Picoult and a bunch of magazines I found at home I know I want to read and toss afterwards.

Loving: That B is done with school for this semester. He's worked really hard to get to where he wants to go and even though his school gives him a few obstacles he has managed these challenges quite well. No more school means no more stress, homework, projects, and no more drama in general.

Planning: Our trip to see family in Northern Nevada. Traveling with kittens is no problem for me but it still requires planning. It is like traveling with children of any age minus the extra clothes in case of an "accident". I'm writing a list of what to bring, and technically of what we can get in Nevada. I want to avoid extra trips to the pet store or any other store so I usually bring everything with me. Haha.

Thinking about: How I should wrap all the Christmas presents we are arranging this year. Last year I went with a plain brown paper with purple polka dots {such a fun DIY project}, so this year I want to do something else. Pinterest better help me. :)

Listening to: Pandora. It's one of many Country Music Stations I happened to find on my man's list. He's the Pandora guy, I just listen to whatever I can sing along to. :)

Watching: The fur babies wrestling with each other and then grooming each other afterwards. It's like their afternoon treat ceremony. Ha. Also, I am catching up on shows today and will watch a Christmas movie. Exciting!

Reading: All kinds of magazines my MIL gave me to read, and a new book I just started.

Loving: The constant purrs I hear from Luna and Lilee. Love our snuggle time, and I love when they realize the spray bottle means they are in trouble. Haha! Plus, when I feel alone and sad and all that...knowing a kitty trusts me enough to sleep on me for hours...awwwww, it's the best feeling ever!

Planning: When we go see family in Reno I always want to do something different. I love resting and playing with the dogs {and now cats} but I want to explore the area as well. I found this great gluten free bakery. Their coffee cakes are delicious. I could eat there every single day. So yes, I am planning on checking a few newplaces out so next time we are in the area we can go explore! :)

Eating: Gluten Free Mini Pretzels from Snyder's of Hanover. This brings back so many childhood memories it's not even funny. I think this is my comfort food. I know, I know, not healthy but I am only human craving some comfort food at the moment.

Today is the day I want to start being a bit more personal on here. After all, this is my personal blog and called Crazy Little World Of Mine...it's all about my world, my life, and well, myself. So I thought I'd jump into this Currently theme...always wanted to do this and never had the guts {who knows why not}. And if you think the photo looks familiar...yes, it's the original shot of my Monday's Weekly Hope Series. I promise I won't always use the same photo but this week I felt it was an appropriate one.

Thinking about: What to get my family for Christmas. Last year was intense you guys. I mean, I did not expect to get so many presents, yet, obviously loved it. We exchanged Christmas wishlists, and we added a few things to those lists as surprises as well. However, I was not prepared for all the goodies...so this year I shall be prepared in full force. So...definitely thinking about Christmas!

Listening: Spotify; random country music. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of country BUT I came to enjoy it because it keeps me relaxed and somewhat motivated. Best part? I can actually sing along, so why not. Plus, some of the songs are very catchy...I am all for it.

Watching: Castle. I'm watching Monday's show. Yes, I know I am two days behind but hey, at least I am not two months behind. Just saying.

Reading: Blogs I have to catch up on. I feel bad for not reading them at times when they are written or at least posted but life complicates things at times, and those things force me to stay off the web and off the blogosphere. Yet, it's time to catch up.

Loving: The fact that I actually feel a difference in my mood, and in my body. Feels amazing. It'll take some time until I feel a lot less anxious and a lot less "off", but just knowing that I can feel a difference and my favorite person sees a difference...this means the world to me! I love it!

Planning: A trip to a Pumpkin Patch. I love pumpkins, and we need pumpkins in our home. Plus, I want to get my own one and not buy it at the grocery store. I need the challenge. Haha!

So what's up with you?!
