The Time I got An Award

Molly and Stacie recently nominated me with the Liebster Award! I have done these award questionnaires before {and have more than 200 followers} but thought it would be nice to do one again. Also, I still feel like I am in a blog slump so this gives me a chance to be kind of creative. Plus, supporting other bloggers and giving them a shout out is always a perfect way to start the day.

RULES

Mention/thank/tag the blogger who nominated you.
Explain the rules for the next lucky nominees.
Answer the questions given to you.
Nominate and link blogs with less than (200) followers.
Post 11 questions of your own.
Notify bloggers that they have been nominated.

So, here goes nothing...

QUESTIONS FOR ME

1. What is your favorite book?
Hard to name just one book. There are book out there that have influenced and inspired me when I needed to hear the right words, and up until today they are still inspiring me. One of them is Walden and Civil Disobedience by Henry David Thoreau. When I had to read it I dreaded it but my professor explained it so well it all made sense and without her further help I realized how much that book meant and spoke to me and my current life. Crazy, huh?!

2. What made you start blogging?
Boredom. Literally. I also needed a hobby at that time and needed a way to express myself or just to create my own little world. I had no idea that blogging is so much more than just writing on a regular basis. Friendships got created, ideas were found, and a community was built.

3. What is your favorite lipstick?
I don't like lipstick. If I wear lipstick it's usually a light color, and nowadays only from MaryKay {thank you M. for being such a fabulous consultant!}. I am more a lip gloss girl.

4. What is your favorite thing to do on vacation?
Sleep in, explore food and drinks, and feed my brain.

5. How do you like to spend your free time?
I like to spend it exploring the city and area. I also like to read, watch films, and spend time with my favorite person. :)

6. What are your blogging goals for this year?
I don't have blogging goals. If I do let me know. However, I like to just have fun and inspire, and entertain.

7. Who did you think was best dressed at the Oscars this year?
To be honest I didn't pay that much attention. I liked Jennifer Lopez and her dress, and that is really all I remember. Oops, I know. So bad of me. :(

8. Would you rather have a surprise party or casual dinner for your birthday?
Casual dinner. I don't like surprise parties. What if I don't feel well that day and then baaam, surprise!! No, thank you. Also, I'd rather look forward to something and see it happen than being thrown into a room with all kinds of people I didn't want to see that day {there are those moments when you just need to be by yourself or just spend time with very close friends}. So, casual dinner it is.

9. What’s the next vacation you have planned?
Visiting family and friends in Switzerland and possibly Turkey. YES.

10. What’s your favorite thing to cook?
Köfte {Turkish meatballs}. Also, my Mexican quinoa dish {so easy and delicious}.

11. How many languages do you speak?
I speak three languages fluently: Swiss-German, German, and English. I speak kind of Turkish and French, and will understand Italian if I sit down and concentrate. The Japanese I once learned is sadly long gone but bits and pieces still linger in my passive brain.

I NOMINATE

Whoever wants to do this.
YES, I will not personally nominate specific bloggers because I think we all deserve this, no matter the amount of followers. Yup, I am doing this this way. I have more than 200 so technically I should not have received this one but still love to get these. When I feel a writer's block appears or just feel like I am in a slump these are the posts I look for. :) Just saying.

QUESTIONS FOR YOU

1) What's a pet peeve of yours?
2) What are you most proud of?
3) What is your favorite film and why?
4) What is your earliest memory from your childhood?
5) What would you choose? A great book, or a great film? And why?
6) If you had a chance to repeat history, what would you change?
7) Favorite song and why?
8) Do you prefer real nails or fake nails, and why?!
9) What place/city/country would you like to retire in?
10) Are you a saver or a spender?
11) What are your hopes for 2015?

I got Nominated!

It has been a while that I got nominated. This week I received the Liebster Award from the lovely Monic over at Simply Sutter! Thank you, girl. I'm so stoked. A while back I stopped participating in award giving and what not, but this year I feel it is time to change this. Beauty Tag Game!

I have been busy. And that's good. But at the same time I neglected this lovely blog of mine. Forgive me. On the other hand, don't. This happens and it's okay! :) So, while I am busy trying to work hard so my longer weekend will be happily spent texting people or sending funny photos around...I thought I'd finally post something I wanted to post a while ago. I know I suck. :) Haha!

A while ago I was tagged by the lovely and awesome girl behind Heart Soul Inspiration with the Laine Blogger Award!! If you haven't checked her blog out, you're missing out as well.  Anyways...here it is... ;)

 The Rules:
Tag the blogger who awarded you.
Answer the 5 questions below.
Award the Laine Blogger Award to 5 of your favorite bloggers.

1. What is your current beauty obsession?

I have a few...let me think...

Body Lotion by St. Ives! It literally makes me smile every morning!

This lip balm was my Birthday gift that I received from my bestie Sierra. I love it. It smells so good and makes my lips moisturized for a very long time. Yum!!!

I have many more beauty obsessions at the moment but I keep it real here and won't overload you with photos and texts and whatnot. Besides, I decided...cheaper is better!! :)

2. What is one beauty item you wished you owned?

Honestly? I don't have a beauty item I wished I owned. Simple as that. I know, probably not what it supposed to go under this question but that's what it is. :) I'm happy with what I have.

3. What is your favorite post to read/write about?

To Read - I like to read about people's daily whereabouts (not in details though) and what they like/dislike/discovered/recommend. A fun combination or a little bit of everything...I like fashion, makeup, and whatnot, but reading similar info/ideas/posts over and over again makes me sleepy...literally.

To Write - Whatever comes to my mind...whatever happens to or inspires or drives me.

4. What inspired you to become a blogger?
I wanted to keep a little private diary of my whereabouts and what not, and I think I still do. My blog is my outlet, my hobby, my space to be me...and my place to still keep you a little in the loop. The whole wide world (or web in this case) shouldn't know every single detail about me, should it?

5. What nail polish are you wearing right now? I just applied some naturally looking glitter on my nails. No color, just clear and glitter. I took my last festive nail polish off. I wore black and orange before. Though I prefer my fingernails to be "naked" as I call them. My toenails on the other hand right now have this burgundy color on them and I love it!!! What brand? Essie!! :)

And that's it for this little beauty tag game. ;)
It's Thursday and I'm exhausted. Let's hope nothing like last week is gonna happen today. :) Phone, yes, I'm talking to you!!!

I'm nominating the following lovely ladies...even though I don't like "favoring" bloggers...we all rock!!

1) Sam at The Married Couple
2) Marjan at Local Living in Orange County
3) Leeann at Join The Gossip
4) Al at Traffic Jelly
5) Christianna at The Girl with the Blue Bow

Sunshine!

Last week, one of my favorite bloggers tagged me in a post. Here are my answers to this...I love answering questions. :)

I am supposed to answer 10 questions about myself...so here it goes:

1) Favorite Color: Purple, Turquoise

2) Favorite Animal: Don't have a favorite animal, but I love dogs, wallabies, and penguins

3) Favorite Number: 2, or even 22

4) Favorite (non-adult) drink: sweetened iced tea preferably raspberry flavored, and coca-cola if I really feel sick

5) Facebook or Twitter? Depends for what I use it - so I have to go with both
6) Passion: Movies, finding good deals, and eating out (hey, why not!!), and enjoying time out with dear friends! - I have many more passions but these three right now are my top favorites!
7) Giving or receiving presents? Both ;)

8) Favorite Pattern: Polka dots!

9) Favorite Day: Friday!

10) Favorite Flower: White roses, but white flowers in general!

Maybe you knew this already...I hope not though! ;)

And now I'm tagging the following ladies:

Marjan, Ashley, Shanna, Brianna, Jennifer

April 20, 2011

Apparently I'm Stylish

It's been a while that I shared some award love, and quite frankly I've been slacking a bit when it comes to awards and such. Though, I think it's time again...just to get it off my chest. Not that it bugs me but still...it's like a task or a chore you know you should do and you constantly put it off and then time is over or something and you're mad at yourself for not having done it earlier or just in the first place. ;) And since I am not in the best blogger mood I think an award post will be just it for today! :) Anyways, here it goes:

My thank you's go out to two lovely ladies at Living in the Life of E! and at Norwegian Phoenix for this one!

*Thank the person who gave it to you and link back {done!}
*List 7 facts!
*Pass it on to 5 others!

And thank you again Norwegian Phoenix for the following award:

*Thank the person who gave it to you and link back {done!}
*List 7 facts!
*Pass it on.

Glad I don't have to do it twice! ;)

1) I am right handed - and right armed (ha!). Even my purse has to go onto my right, never on the left.
2) 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s are my favorite decades - I also believe I must have lived somewhere in the 40s or 50s or somewhere there. Ha! Don't ask why I believe that, it's what it is.
3) I am only 5'2'' which can be cute, but sometimes it's a hassle. Though it automatically makes me look younger - so that is a fun advantage.
4) As much as so many of you are looking forward to graduating, I am trying to go back to school again. Here, I said it. I may change my mind once I sit in class and get bored studying, reading, listening, and taking notes and all - but please don't call me a nerd, though. Thank you. ;)
5) I'm obsessed with foot lotion.
6) Lip balm and lip gloss are my friends. I can't stand lipstick.
7) I am always on time, actually always a bit early (sometimes too much). I get nervous and super annoyed when I am going to be late (even by two minutes!)...especially when others are driving or are with me and are the main reason for my being delayed. Cannot stand it! *this applies to appointments that are important, e.g. doctor's, dentist's, movie's (yes it is important to watch the previews), restaurant reservations, etc*

See, nothing special, I am a random girl. :) Haha!

I should pass this on, and although I don't want to do this I just want to mention a few blogs I think are worth mentioning because I just think so, and because I just feel like it. ;) That's why. ;) Oh yeah, and their posts may or may not make me laugh out load, smile and inspire me when it comes to food, songs, colors and fun things to do - and that not just today but pretty much ever since I discovered their blogs. ;) Go check 'em out if you haven't already.

my very own cup yesterday morning before an appointment, I played with my camera a little - again

Hope you are enjoying the day.
I cannot believe how gorgeous it is outside...I just ignore my allergies and enjoy the beauty of spring. Yay!

Have a fantastic day, with or without coffee! ;)

xoxo,

September 16, 2010

And the award goes to...

...voila...yes, oui, si...me. I think I drank way too much coffee today so I'm a bit tipsy (can that even come from coffee?!) and slightly disorganized but I'm having a good moment right now...because yes, I got a blog award from one of my favorite bloggers over at  Welcome to the Jungle. Thanks Jen!!!! :) I'm blessed!

1. Thank the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Sum up your blogging philosophy, motivation, and experience using five (5) words.
3. Pass it on to 10 other blogs which you feel have real substance.

To sum it all up using five words is not easy but I'd say...

Blogging is an intriguing, life-changing, freeing writing and reading adventure.
Ok, not just five, but close enough.

I love opening up my google reader and reading all of what you had to share and say.
Reading what you go through or found online or did, makes me believe that life can be fun (again),  can be a lot more dramatic, and a lot more horrible.
Sharing what is going on and what we all go through can be and sort of is a liberating experience. I always say "writing helps" and I do believe in what I say!
Writing and reading are two amazing things, so closely connected they're almost just one thing! Both do help us keep our minds occupied... :)
And yes, this whole blogging thing is pure excitement...every single time I go online.

Great ladies deserve this...and since I can't name all of my favorites...here are a few.  If you haven't checked them out yet, go ahead!!! :)

The Married Couple

The Pursuit of Happiness

Keeping Up With Kelly & Co.

Elle Sees

Village

Life is Beautiful

In the meantime I got another award...but I'll work on it later on... ;) Promised.

Hope you're all doing fabulous.
I'm super exhausted...work, and laundry kept me crazy...and a short while ago I somehow managed to hit my foot and it hurts like hell. Dang it! How did that happen?! Don't ask. I don't even know.

xoxo,

♥ Selma ♥

May 21, 2010

TGIF...Yay!!!

Never thought I'd be soooo looking forward to this weekend. Not that I have anything planned. If I had I'd be more thrilled, but at least it's one more day of work and two days off work and trust me, I am super excited.
Do I have plans?! Hmmm...let me see...

1. Do much-needed laundry
2. Color my nails
3. Sleep in, and pamper myself (a girl deserves this from time to time)
4. Go the movies (finally, Dear John!)
5. Write a letter
6. Pay one credit card bill
7. Enjoy the predicted sunshine

So, hopefully I can accomplish everything on my tiny list.

But before that, I'm going back to work today. I was frustrated yesterday. I felt like a teacher correcting everyone's mistakes. I'm not a genius and I also make mistakes (heck, we all do) but it pisses me off when I'm the one being blamed all the time and yelled at for nothing specific but using a pencil instead of a pen whereas they are making horrible mistakes with enormous outcomes. I was pissed. And Thursday wasn't much fun. Friday?! Let's see how that goes.
But again...before I go back I'm catching up on this blog world...I received two awards and I wanna share these with you. Normally I'm not good at this, but today I just thought I'd give it a try and work on this so it's not going to be piled up like crazy. ;)

The wonderful Katie over at The Adventures of Katie and Josh gave me these awards:

 I have to list 10 things I love...so let's get started:

1. Life
2. My family
3. My friends
4. Traveling
5. Shopping
6. Sunshine all year round (incl. the warm temps!)
7. Reading
8. Relaxing on the coach
9. Movies (and some TV shows)
10. Freshly brewed coffee

Now, I'm supposed to nominated 10 awesome bloggers...and well, I've done this so many times I'm gonna skip this now. You all deserve this, and if you want to, you can grab it and claim I gave it to you and post it, too. Do it now! ;)

The second award is the following cutie:

And here are no rules attached just that I need to nominate ten bloggers again. I think I'm gonna skip this one too and let you grab it if you like this cute little sweet blog bear. I sure do.

Thank you Katie, you rock girl!!!! :)

Yes, I'm lazy but oh well. We all are at some point in life or day. Today is my very lazy day. I'm still in my PJ's and should get ready in two hours...grrrrrrrrrr....looking outside, I'd rather stay home curled up in my bed. One more day, one more day...let's hope my umbrella stays in my bag today!!! :)

Have a great Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful Award

Thank you Angela for this wonderful award. I love the green color, too. ;)
This could be me, sitting underneath a tree and reading a book or jotting thoughts down.

I do have to nominate seven beautiful ladies and their blogs...so here it is...

I am not sure if I should list something here or not, but then again I am gonna skip this step (that is if it exists) because a few days ago or was it weeks? I posted like 101 things about me and it was difficult so I really am through with that for now.
If you haven't check out these wonderful and amazing ladies and their blogs. I absolutely love what they have to say and their posts always make my day. Woohoo!!! AND yes, there are two Sams so don't get confused or think that I made a mistake. Nope. :D

Happy Saturday. Woohoo I quickly made it online. :D

Happy Award

Truly missed her, and Those Magic Slippers Will Take You Home gave me this cute award a while back. Thanks Skye!
It took me forever to get to this award but here I am...and since I have nothing better to do at this very moment... here goes nothing :

Photobucket

I have to list 10 things that make me happy...and I'm gonna list ten things that make me happy NOW.

1. Sleeping. Enough said.

2. My friends all over the world, even my bloggy friends. :D YES.

3. Coffee
I can't drink it that much anymore but I'm okay with that.

4. Summer
Do I have to repeat myself? I am a summer person. I'm all for warm weather, sunshine, flip flops, and cute clothes...I don't wear shorts though. Yup. Sue me! ;) I'm just happiest when my winter coat is stored away and I don't have to wear heavy and bulky stuff anymore.

5. Bath and Body Works and it's marvelous body sprays and hand lotions.

6. Traveling
No matter where and for how long it's great... :D

7. California!!!
Do I have to say why?!

8. TV
Online or not, I love it. It keeps me sane right now. I don't want to be as addicted but so far I can't help it.

9. My colorful scarves
Perfect to scare this gray winter away.

10. Self-made muffins and cakes
Yummy!!!

I'm supposed to tag people but I won't.
If you feel like doing this, go ahead. ;)
I did this once before and just foudn out I sort of came up with the same answers. Sort of.
Click here for more (or similar answers).

Have a great day... :)
I sure will. :)

Survived?!

Hardly.
How was everyone's Vday?! Mine of course sucked.
I was working and I felt like sleeping rather than working but I was a good girl and worked hard!!!

Carnival isn't over. It's just about to start again.
Three more days and then it's all history. I'm okay with that.

I have been a bad blogger and hardly commenting but always reading your lovely posts and all.
At some point I was swammed with wonderful messages, and posts I didn't know where to begin.
It's not going to be better now...I am down to zero posts, which is amazing but I'm sure by the time I get some time to sit down and read some high number is gonna show up on my screen and I predict...maybe something like 300?! We'll see.

But...I wanted to share some love today. After all it is that kind of time...and why not share it with some cute awards and stuff?! I was given a few over the past few days and I want to thank those wonderful and inspirational ladies right now for thinking of me, including me, and just reading me. Thank you all. You made my day. Woooooohooooooooo!!!!! Can you see me smile now?!

Okiedokie...here I go...

Beautiful and funny Kelly over at Keeping Up with Kelly & Co. gave me this super fantastic award!!!

Sierra @ Ocean Dreams
Chloé @ Sean ♥ Chloé
Jessica @ Classy in Philadelphia

Super cute Jenna over at Daily Loves and Laughs gave me this award:

Photobucket
If you haven't checked her blog yet, I now tell you to. ;-)

The rules of the award are:
1. Share six blogs that you think are over the top and exciting
2. let all of the ladies know they've won the award
3. Smile and pat yourself on the back for winning the award
Easy, huh?!

And as for the last award I received...
Adorable Sam over at Life is Beautiful was thoughtful enough to include me and I love her for that. Her blog too :) If you haven't, hop on over to her blog and read what she has to say! :)

"This award means you're really going places, Baby. You'll still be blogging about your great adventures 10 years from now, and I'll still be reading them."
The rules for this award are that I have to post where I would like to be in 10 years, and then pass this award along to 10 other bloggy buddies of mine.

Oh boy...ten years from now I will be older than today and this my lovelies is going to scare me. Yes, a number doesn't say much but I'm gonna be at an age I don't want to be. At least not right now or in ten years. But I can't turn back time and I won't. So in ten years from now, I want to be happily married, have a few great and cute kids, live in a place that makes me happy and still have those few amazing friends I've been having for the past 20 years! Sure enough, I would also love to have a job that fulfills me, and makes me earn enough money so I won't complain about it (haha!), and no wrinkles, a sexy butt, and a my ladies still up and going!!!! YUP!!!!!

The 10 awesome bloggers I'm going to pass this one onto are

Mara @ M Loves M
Annie @ Chapters Of Our Life
Angela @ Angela Kolachny
Ashley @ Let Go, Laughing
Jenna @ Daily Loves and Laughs
Leia @ Too Much To See, The World Keeps Turnin'
Kimberly @ My Wooden Heart
Katie @ The Adventures of Katie and Josh
Amber @ Life As We Know It
Jen @ Welcome to the Jungle

So, I think that's about it.
I would have loved to include all of you but right now couldn't.
You are all just wonderful, and you inspire me daily.

I really recommend all of these lovely ladies and their terrific blogs.
All so unique and all so very good!!!! :D

Thanks to all of you.

Happy Sunday!!! :D

Smile

I received this cute sunshine award the other day and thought I could pass it on to some wonderful bloggers out there. There is a rule attached to this award but I'm going to skip this and just be looking at this beautiful flower. And well, I'm passing this one on to Kelly, Chloé, Katie, Sierra, Lauren, Heather, Sara, Jennifer, and Ashley. Best thing of all, you don't need to do anything...just look at the flower and be happy and all. If you want you can pass it on, but it's not a must. I just thought it was a cute thing and I wanted to give this happy looking flower to all of you! ;)

Tuesday's not movie day but I decided to go to the movies today. Just felt like it. Up In The Air was fantastic. Loved this movie. Yes, I know there are a few people out there not liking it at all, and others agreeing with me. Either way I'm gonna stick to what I said. I liked it. A. Lot. :) At least my 16 bucks were used wisely.

And in other news...life's ok. Not particularly the best, but still.

I've also been catching up on some shows...literally from the damn beginning...I've been watching Heroes and am almost on par with the current episodes shown on the main land. ;-) I also had to start with LOST again. I had missed about three episodes, maybe even more and it just confused me. I had given up. I felt bad about it but learned that there are other things in life than TV. Woohoo! But now, without having other things in life I am trying to enhance my life and whoops...I started watching LOST again...still on Season 3 but hey...can't watch one season in a day, can I?! I'm sooooo addicted.

via

Have an amazing day! :)

And yes, I know I'm not a freak...but it still freaked me out. ;)
Thanks for all your sweet comments.

And it goes to.....yup, me!

The beautiful and funny Kelly over at Keeping up with Kelly & Co. gave me this terrific award...it sure feels like our own little Golden Globes award! Thanks a lot girl. If you haven't checked her out, you're definitely missing out!!!

Here are the rules:
-Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
-Copy the award & place it on your blog.
-Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
-Tell us 7 interesting things about yourself.
-Nominate 7 bloggers.
-Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.

You all know I've listed quite some things about me in the past few days, weeks, or maybe months. So, I'm trying not to repeat myself.  Maybe I just go deeper into each and every single thing I mentioned before?! Maybe not. We'll see. Here it goes...

1) I collect things. Ok, quite normal. But when your kitchen shelves harbor up to 50+ mugs it's getting crazy. This is not normal, but I can't control myself. I have a horrible addiction slight thing for mugs, mainly Starbucks city mugs. They're huge but I love them. If I could I'd buy one from every major city. Luckily I stopped myself in Heidelberg, Germany....I wanted to buy one and thought twice about it and now I just have another one. Still from Heidelberg but not from Starbucks. I do owe two huge ones from Los Angeles though. ;)  I don't have space anymore for any additional mugs that may come along - and trust me, they will come along...It's my little sickness.

2) In addition to mugs, I also collect DVDs...of selected TV series. Insane. I know. Expensive, too. Years ago I started with the Friends' DVD collection...I bought every single season, except for the last two ones because they weren't out in stores then. My awesome friend K. sent me the rest, and I'm so proud of that collection. Now it's Brothers & Sisters, and One Tree Hill and some others....I so need to stop this. But it's good when you're stuck at home being sick and all. This is the best way to cure anything!

3) I'm one of those people who loves doing laundry. I love to sort my huge hamper and divide my laundry into colors...white, black/blue, red/purple, pink, gray/beige, socks/underwear, towels, jeans, too many colors. ;) Certain clothes I can't wash with others so I need to wash them separately and all alone. And most of my clothes go into washing bags, so they're slightly protected. Sometimes it's weird. Sometimes it's also funny... I feel as if my clothes are my babies!!! I want to protect them and make them live forever.

4) I don't like folding my clothes but it's a necessity. I love to stack my things though (and yes, I do organize my clothes according to color and style). And I make sure that I pair my socks correctly and also make sure I lay them next to each other to dry. Note to all of you, I don't have a dryer. So, to me it's crucial to have my socks "sit" and "wait" together until they're dry. Same goes for any other small and delicate items. ;) Remember, they're my babies. ;)

5) Grammar. I loved it and I still love it. I have lots of books on English grammar and all that...it so fascinates me. I used to read them before I went to bed. I also once started reading my dictionary. Absolutely insane I know, but that's what I did. And yes, I was a nerd in high school...always aced my English tests. ;) Always failed German and French though. Ok, kidding...I passed all of them, with good grades...but still...English grammar was my very first love (after all, it all started in second grade! - woohoo).
And yes, I still make mistakes, and I still make/have typos in my writing mainly because my mind goes way faster than my typing and well...that pretty much sums it up. I haven't brought them onto the same level - yet. One day maybe. ;)

6) Speaking of languages...I grew up speaking Swiss-German, and German, had my first encounter with English when I was one, and my first encounter with Turkish when I was two, and oh yeah, my first encounter with Italian when I was about six. In high school I took Italian (dropped it though after one year because I wanted to focus on French, which didn't go well though), and in college I took Japanese. I also took Korean (but it didn't last that long), and am still working on my poor Turkish. There's this giant grammar book right next to my bed....

7) I have a weird great sense of orientation. I love reading maps. And I don't have a problem going back to a place after a few years and still remember how to get to certain areas/streets/places. This never occured to me until my godmother pointed this out a few years back. Big cities are my thing...I don't get confused at all. Plus I orient myself quite easily...with the help of clothing stores, gas stations, etc etc etc. Gotta love that!!! :)

After reading all of this...please don't judge, and please don't think I'm a super dork. Ok, maybe I am. But I'm still a normal girl who collects things, loves certain colors and chores, and needs to have her horizon broadened each day...with whatever comes along...new book, new movie, new word, new mug, new clothes, new historical fact, new story etc etc etc.... I'm no crazy person, nor do I make stuff up. I might not tell everything at once, nor be very precise BUT I'm me. Just very regular and just oh so common....we all have it in us, we just need to find us! I'm still looking for the other half of me....

And now I'm going to pass this award onto the following beautiful ladies:

Tinka @ Germarican
Jennifer @ Crazy Shenanigans
Chloé @ Sean ♥ Chloé
Erin @ Living and Loving in L.A.
Mara @ M Loves M
Jenni @ She's Getting Married
Annie @ Chapters of our life

I think I'm done.
Yes I am.
So I can harvest my cabbage now. Oh yes, have I ever mentioned I absolutely adore FarmVille?! Gotta love Facebook just for that tiny distraction in my life...and I love my purple fences and awesome looking trees, too. Woohoo...:)

Ok, enough said.
I'm done. I need to sleep...like right now.

Blessed

Woohoo. I feel blessed.
Tinka over at Germarican, the life of a German girl who fell in love with an American boy gave me this fabulous award. My first this year! :D Thanks a lot girl. And if you haven't checked her blog out, head on over! :D

And since I've got nothing better to do...

The rules are I have to tell you 10 fabulous things about me. I then pass it forward to other lady bloggers I admire.
And yes, that's gonna be a toughy.

For a while now I have been giving out clues about what I like or dislike or live with or whatever...so this is going to be tricky. And, a while back, when I reached 20 lovely followers I decided to do a little list, too, and then sort of said when I get 100 I will do one with 100 little clues about me. Oh boy. Don't want to repeat myself on these...so I have to work on getting to know me better until then. YES. ;) So stay tuned.

But let me begin now...

1. I can't stand liver. I know it's supposed to be good and apparently healthy but I can't stand it.

2. Polka Dots are my favorites...in any kind of color (of course I'd prefer purple and pink).

3. In elementary school I got punished for speaking too much. :-(  As a punishment I had to learn poems and present them the following day. This was never an easy task, but good practice for my non-existing film career. ;-)

4. When I read, I live for that book and with that book. I'm in there, and whatever happens touches me and makes me cry like a baby.

5. I feel pretty lonely sometimes. More so now than years ago. However, and this may sound pathetic, the internet is a good enthusiasm booster!!!

6. I love snail mail and little things sent to me. Especially when I don't expect anything...and woohoo there's this envelope or box waiting for me and making me open it and wow!!!! The crappiest day automatically becomes the best day ever!!

7. Can't get enough of new words. Whether I know them or not, once I hear a word I hadn't used/heard/read in months or years I'm going to be stuck with this word for the next couple of weeks. Sort of like songs you can't get out of your head...it's words for me, too. :) Can be quite interesting. And annoying. ;)
Oh, and this happens in any language. And this drives people insane. They can't stand me when this happens. Oops! :(

8. I'm pathetically and annoyingly irritated by my co-worker. Luckily I don't have to work WITH her (at the same time) but still see her for maybe maximum ten minutes when our shifts collide. Can't stand that either. This has gotten so bad I even got sick because of her. But oh well...

9. As much as I would like to deny it, I think I like my Twitter account. Still haven't figured it out yet, but I think it's really kind of fun! ;)

10. Blogging has become my new daily drug. Not that I'm obsessed, or any good, but it's what I like doing. It's what keeps me going and looking forward to fun reads and pictures. It shows there is hope for me...my summer/winter/whatever misery will come to an end (thanks to writing I think) and I will have this blog of mine to prove it. Ok, this didn't make any sense...it's just blogging has become my "therapist". LOL
I love my blog, and all my blog friends. Thanks! xoxoxoxo

So, and now I'm passing this one on to...

...and so many others...reason I'm not listing anyone else is this...as much as I love all of you I've already given this award to so many fabulous people before and to those I want to give it to they already received it (maybe even multiple times). We all deserve this award...so I decided to give it only to five great bloggers. Check them out. That is, if you haven't already.

Oh, and if you aren't on this list...don't feel bad. You still deserve this award because you're still a wonderful, and sweet person, with lots to say and share and you definitely make my day. If you aren't on that list, and still feel like doing this or listing things or whatever...you've got my blessings to do so. :)

Yes, you do!

Happy Monday everyone.

New week, new everything!
I'm so exhausted it's not even funny. Good th

ing my shift's over soon...so I can go home, take a nap, and maybe find some cool pictures to brighten up my day. Or I'll catch up on the Globes. Couldn't watch due to the time distance, and the fact that I was asleep.  :-(
But tonight I can watch Desperate Housewives again! YAY! Oops...yes, it's one of my guilty pleasures! ;)

Yay!!! What a day!!! ;)

My day wasn't all that happy and sunny.
I hated most of it, and just wanted to go home.
I did.
And then, I felt like I should read some blogs. They might cheer me up.
And guess what?! They sure did.

The beautiful Kelly over at Keeping up with Kelly & Co. gave me this award!
It made my day a lot brighter.
Thanks girl, you're amazing!
  ♥

Believe it or not, but an award can cheer me up!
Sweet comments, too.

My gloomy day on this side of the world is almost over.
I'm so dead I could go to bed right now and I haven't eaten anything yet. :(
Dinner where are you?!

Happy 101

When you least expect it, something wonderful happens and then your day instantly brightens up. This sure feels good today, happened last week but I wasn't able to get around it fast enough.  I'd like to thank Jen over at Welcome to the Jungle for this wonderful award! Ok, way too serious...
...Thank you Jen, I'm happy for the happy award! Yay!!!

These are the award rules: Copy the award image in your post. Then, list 10 things that make you happy, try to do at least one of them today, and tag 10 bloggers that brighten your day. For those 10 bloggers who get the award, you must link back to my blog!

Easy, huh?!
Oh boy. Not so sure about that!

1. Blogging
Seriously, it keeps me sane. At least for the most part. I love to write, I love to share things; no better way to use both of these and blog about whatever comes to mind. Granted, there are times I don't feel like sharing anything but for the rest of the time I feel like I'm doing an okay job. It's me. True me, not fake me. And as I always say...writing is my therapy, it keeps me grounded, it keeps me dreaming and wishing and hoping, and it keeps me going. Plus, have I mentioned that I actually met the most amazing people on here! Yes, all of you! Awesome writers, and readers!

2. TV (online or not)
Yes, not the most productive way to enjoy life. But, again, it keeps me entertained and that's what I need in life. I used to dislike TV (believe it or not) but today this has definitely changed. It makes me stop thinking about all the bad in life, and all the bad things going on on this wonderful planet. I tend to get a bit distracted sometimes and end up watching shows until 3 am, but hey, I'm so not complaining. Plus, certain shows have been quite insightful. Others are just plain silly and so ridiculously amazing that I just have to watch. Ha! I never complain about reruns...that is for sure. Among my favorites are (and a lot more...):

3. (Southern) California
Yes, I'm pathetic! But can't stop my love for my beloved state. Now I know, my friend K. would kick me bad if she were right around here, because she wants me to move to Florida - like crazy. Can't really come to like that idea yet.Who knows, one day maybe?! :(  But until then, my heart belongs to this state...and just thinking about it makes my day!!! I'm a dork I know. Can't wait to go back!

I could go on but won't...don't have that much time to post like 456,256 pictures up... ;)

4. Breakfast (as unhealthy as possible)
I wish every Sunday would be filled with these yummy dishes...

5. Hot Showers or/and a very calming (Bubble) Bath
Right now I'm hooked on Kneipp products, and I found this fig milk bathoil in Germany...awesome!!!

6. Music!!!
No doubt, this is my way to happiness and my way to remember certain awesome and also certain terrible times in my life. Music's pretty much always been part of my life, and hopefully will always be.

7. Traveling
Yes, right. I'm sure we all have this in common. Wish I could do this for a living sometimes, but being all the time on the move isn't really what I want either...but dreaming about France, Great Britain, Turkey, Germany, Ireland, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, The Philippines, Hong Kong, South Korea, India, New Zealand, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Malta, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and so many places and cities in the US...this exhausts me already...ahhhh....I love to dream, don't you?!

8. Books

9. Coffee (flavored or not, decaf or regular, hot or cold)

10. Being alive and happy
Even though at times I feel like total crap and all, but it's part of life (more often than wanted I guess) and makes it what it is...my life. So, what makes me happy on number ten?! Just being who I am...in all my funny glory and craziness.

Here are ten ladies worth reading (if you haven't already)...oh I wish I could give this one to pretty much all my readers...so if you aren't on this list now, consider yourself on this list anyways because you're worth it! Ok, sounds lame...because you are simply awesome!

Annie @ Chapters of our life
Jessica @ Crafting Happiness...My Way
Chloé @ Sean ♥ Chloé
Katie @ The Adventures of Katie and Josh
Sam @ The Married Couple
Kelly @ Keeping up with Kelly & Co.
Jennifer @ Crazy Shenanigans
Melissa @ Serendipitous

Love reading these blogs, they inspire and lift me up! Thank you all!
Thanks again, Jen!
Happy reading everyone.

xoxo
