Spring Lusting

Spring - Pink Inspiration

Wedges / flats / bracelet watch / necklace / infinity scarf / blush / cosmetic bag / nail polish / candle

It is March!!!
Spring to me starts March 1 and ends May 31. Simple as that. I know it's not official but that is what I have gone with for over 25 years so just go with it, okay?! I won't change my thinking in this department. :)

With spring literally a few days old it is time to bring out the lighter, cuter, and more spring/summer clothes. If you are like me you won't go shopping this month {yes, I promised to myself not to buy anything until June - yikes!}...so, enjoying spring and its cuter more pastel sides will be hard. Luckily I have that nail polish at hand, a few lighter eye shadows, and some colorful bags. If I happen to come across extra money I will probably splurge on a new pair of flats or sandals because, well, my current ones are about to fall apart. Literally. They have seen better days. Next weekend I will rotate my wardrobe and put away those heavy winter sweaters {not that we had a heavy and cold winter here in California}, polish my spring/summer shoes, and take away a few items and donate those. It will be liberating to clean out the closet again, and it will be rewarding to see more space in it. Also, I will have a chance to reevaluate my current wardrobe and come up with some fun outfits, combos, and yes, future shopping dreams. I am a girl after all and need a few new items when June arrives. :)

I am so happy March is here!!!
YES.

Kate Spade Love

Kate Spade Love

If you haven't heard I love Kate Spade. I am not the only one, I know.
There is this certain vibe to KS that I love. It is not only purely feminine, it is also girlie, playful, and just timeless beautiful. This combination makes it so splendid if you ask me. If you were wondering whether or not I owned something with the brand name Kate Spade on it, then yes, I do. I own and love three pairs of sunglasses {the pair above is actually exactly it, just mine is turquoise}, a pair of pink earrings, and a wallet. I am hoping to get either one bag I posted above, as well as the plates. I saw the plates at Nordstrom and fell in love. They are perfect for appetizers, or just finger food for when I do not feel like cooking. I will not a wedding registry {weird, I know} but instead will have a "list" with things we/I need in life. Ha! Kate Spade stuff will definitely be on that "list". I can already see my favorite person roll his eyes. Sorry honey. I need my girlie fix.

I am so ready to go shopping now. Trouble is ahead...I can tell.

xoxo

P.s. I might have taken advantage of Nordstrom and its Anniversary Sale and bought a few things. Early Christmas/Wedding gift I guess. :)

My love for pink....

http://www.studiodiy.com/2013/02/12/diy-giant-balloon-heart/

It is no secret that I love pink. Purple trumps pink but my love for pink is eternal. I cannot explain how girlie I become when I see the perfect shade of pink that fits with whatever mood I am in. It's a combination. It's not just pink. It's not any pink either. It just needs to fit. With Valentine's Day approaching - those of you who celebrate, are you ready?! - I thought it was appropriate to share my love for this lovely girlie color.

Do you love pink? Or dislike it as much as other people?
Which color is your ultimate favorite when it comes to love?

Turquoise Friday Inspiration

As summer is slowly leaving us - have you noticed that the sun sets already earlier? - I really want to capture the last couple of weeks full of hot air, sunshine, blue skies and whatnot. My favorite color this summer, and well any other summer really is turquoise. It gives me a cool feeling, wanting to suck on Popsicles and drink refreshing margaritas. Though, a little pink had to be added too...otherwise it would not be perfect! What do you think?!

Have a lovely day and weekend!
I was busy on Wednesday (hang out with Sierra from Ocean Dreams), and yesterday, well, the pool called my name and I couldn't really say no to that.

Any fun plans planned for the weekend?
A friend is coming down from Ventura County and I believe we all are hanging out. And even if not, I'd be probably reading and looking for a car. Bleh. And enjoying my last weekend before school starts again. What was I thinking, really?

P.s.: New Header is up...Blog Button will be replaced soon as well!! :)   Like or Dislike?!

Strawberry

I have a confession to make. I am utterly obsessed with strawberries.
Honestly, I'm not even kidding here.

Awww...I just want to bite right into this deep-pink fruit. Maybe even add some whipped cream or sugar or a combo of both and just enjoy it. Yes, I am that obsessed with strawberries.

When I worked at the strawberry festival and from time to time even enjoyed walking through all those food stands and looking at all those fun creativities they chose to display I fell even more in love with this amazing fruit. Okay, before I get too mushy over a simple fruit..ha, I never thought this could happen, here are a few fact you may or may not know about strawberries:
  • Did you know that strawberries have been used as a symbol of longevity and purity and that for centuries? Some cultures even saw it as a symbol of peace and perfection.
  • The strawberry is apparently the only fruit with its seeds on the outside rather than on the inside.
  • Due to the above fact, some say it is not even a real berry.
  • Some cultures believed it was a poisonous fruit (e.g. Argentina up until 1850)
  • In 2007 it said that about 23,000 acres of strawberries were planted in California alone, and that each year of course.
  • There's a museum in Belgium entirely dedicated to this cute fruit.
  • It is obviously Vitamin C-packed.
  • Strawberries are the first fruits to ripe in the spring.
  • One cup of strawberries has only 55 calories (of course without sugar and cream!)
  • Strawberries have the best flavor when they are room-temperatured. *I think I just made a word up*
  • Apparent historical fact is that strawberries were used to heal sunburns.
  • This fruit can also play part in reducing the risk of cancer or heart disease
It is a super fruit!
Unfortunately, there are people that cannot enjoy it because of allergies. So sorry. :(

The only thing I can't stand is strawberry ice cream. How weird is that?
But I love looking at pictures and getting inspired, so eating my favorite fruit won't get boring around here.

Have you ever had strawberries with black pepper on it? Or with balsamic vinegar? Sound weird? It's super delicious! There are a lot more "weird" combos out there, but all I can say is try it first before you wrinkle your nose and say No. ;)

I'm gonna put some things on my grocery list for tomorrow's salad!
Never had it but it sounds so refreshing - although it's cooled down a lot over here I am in need of some healthy stuff lately.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Still Hooked

Valentine's Day may be over, but I am still hooked on cuteness, romance, etc...especially when the colors pink and purple are involved. :) Enjoy!
That's all for today...

...hope you are having a fabulous day.
I am going to organize a few things, lay low, and get rid of a nasty cold.
In the meantime, these pictures keep me warm and happy. :) And I certainly am happy!
My lovely friend M called me this morning. Although it was in the very early daylight hours I didn't mind. :)
She totally made my day brighter, even though I went to bed and slept till eleven.

Sunday Morning Sun Is Shining

You only recognize true friendship when you least expect it.
And when you do expect something nothing happens.

That's all I'm gonna say today.
I had this whole paragraph written about friendship but deleted it all.
Not sure why but I did it.

Weekend was weird and long.
Had dinner at 10.20pm, ended up in bed by 1 and woke up again at 6 again.
By nine I had my coffee in my hand and was sitting at Starbucks looking at the newspaper.
Saw some pretty things...and thought a cute/pretty/pink/girlie post is needed.
Especially on such a beautiful Sunday!!!

And for once I was thinking about arranging these pictures differently...but then decided not to go there. Once I start I cannot stop myself. I'll leave them as they are. ;) Raw and fresh, just how I like it.

Hope you're having a fabulous Sunday.

My love for....

Yes, I was looking forward to fall and this milder, slight bit cooler time of year but still deep within I wish for summer all year long. Yeah, I'm one of those people! ;) And just thinking about it...one specific color comes to mind. Guess which one?!

It never bores me...ever!
What can I say, I'm a girlie girl at times!

Pink Is In The Air

My love for this color will never end...

 all via tumblr

Negative thoughts have crossed my mind.
I couldn't sleep at all last night. Many different reasons.
So today I wanted to ditch everything and everyone but didn't.
I have responsibilities...we all do.

Two more days and I can finally relax for two days. YES.
A movie day is planned too, and temps in the 80s are expected by this weekend.
Excited?! I know I am.

Happy Thursday!

Where's Spring?!

Apparently, spring's not anywhere close...I make myself even more miserable by comparing locations' weather...this city, my deeply missed town in CA, and Philadelphia...don't like what I see. I'm more determined now to dance for spring. Some people dance to make it rain, and I'm gonna do something like this just to get spring knock on our door...come on!!!! Can't tolerate this cold anymore...it's uber-annoying now. :(

To get into the spring dance mood...*sounds sort of corny* here are my pictures...not only to make me dance, but also dream of comfy spring clothes, sandals, sunglasses, flowers, the sun, and just no winter jacket anymore.

Happy Monday!!!!!

all via we ♥ it

The last picture reminds me that I need to paint my toe nails.
Pink of course!!!
