Goodies for Valentine's Day!

I'm trying to sweeten up life a bit. With happiness as my word this year, even my most dreaded and yes unloved "holiday" will get some love. I think I owe it to the word and to myself to add a bit of Valentine Sparkle. I won't decorate {yes, I won't!}, but I think a few cute additions to the "love weekend" cannot hurt at all. Look at these cuties I found.

I have been looking for a bracelet for a while. Always wanted a lighter, non-chunky one that won't hit my wrist left and right. I usually wear simple, very similar looking studs. These earrings I felt were very appropriate for next week and for Valentine's Day. So super cute. I might splurge for once and get me those. A new perfume is always a good idea. Our body's chemistry changes when seasons change, so keep that in mind, too. This is a tip I have lived by for years hence my lovely perfume collection at home. I think I will not add a new mug to my already huge collection but if I did would be red. A little bit of pink on our nails has never harmed anyone either, am I right? And if you have a sweet tooth I suggest you go out and get yourself something sweet. I will get marshmallows or a very good cotton candy as I do not eat chocolate. If I find pink marshmallows I will be a happy woman!

I love purple and {most} pink, so anything that comes close to this I think fits perfectly for Valentine's Day. I never liked this day. Yes, I still don't like it. I may be in a happy relationship and I am very content with my partner but this doesn't mean I love this day more. I didn't like it before and I don't like it now. The only thing I like about this day is that I can schedule in a date for that day or at least around that day. I win.

Happy Friday my loves!

Even though it is still February I am lusting for some cute and simple spring outfits. March is around the corner after all. However, I promised myself not to go shopping until May/June unless it was truly and fully necessary. This means, major drama in the house {because, really, I so want to go shopping} and major happiness in my bank account. I have now time to give my current wardrobe a chance to show its full potential and to come up with new ideas to create fun outfits. I have seen other bloggers do this on a regular basis and believe that we can in fact use what we already own for at least half a year, we just get caught up with magazines, shows, and other beautiful fashion lovers to try new trends and spend money. As awesome as it is to hold a new skirt or a new pair of flats or sandals I know I will love to see more in my savings account each week! 

I still love to put sets together and get inspired. Since tomorrow is Valentine's Day this cute outfit would work perfectly as well {if temperatures allow of course}. My favorite person {B} and I won't do anything tomorrow. We are not into Valentine's Day Celebrations, but we will make sure to watch a movie at home. Maybe I get him to watch a silly and cute chick flick. If not, we will choose a film that is on our movie-list we update weekly. AFI's 100 movies is one awesome way to make any date night special.

Love is in the Air

Good morning.
Saturday is Valentine's Day. Even though we don't celebrate this day it is still a time I love to get creative or at least dream of being creative. It is one of those days that makes me happy. Everything looks and feels girlie. The Confetti Sticks above are just the cutest and will go with any party {even a future NYE party} and just add the perfect touch to Valentine's Day. I love confetti, and even when the floor looks like a colorful palette of all kinds of colors and shapes it's a great way to make anyone smile {especially on a bad day}.

These DIY glitter vases are so pretty and would perfectly add some sparkle on Valentine's Day and can eve go with an Easter or a baby shower or any spring party. Plus, they are so easy to make. Love is definitely in the air. Adding a few cute festive touches here and there has become easy and affordable. A nice self-made touch to any place makes a home so much warmer.

Last Minute Valentine's Day Ideas

If you are into Valentine's Day and its cuteness but haven't fully gotten new items to enhance this so-called romantic day, then here are a few items that may add a little sparkle to your V-Day. If you didn't catch the sarcasm...I don't like Valentine's Day. I believe it is a holiday people invented to make more money. Don't get me wrong, I love everything I see and put up here. I even own the perfume and will probably get those earrings and the bag or the mug {I am obsessed with cute mugs}. I just don't understand why "we have to" go all out on February 14 for our loved ones. What happens with all the other days?! Seriously. Same goes for Mother's Day.

I digress. If you need to spruce up your wardrobe or are still looking for something cute to add to your home there's still time. It's in one week, so breathe. I have my nails painted pink and own a pair of cute, fluffy and pink socks but that's about as close as I get to "celebrating" this day. Those earrings are darling and call my name. I can hear them.

Despite the fact that I do not like Valentine's Day I am still a romantic girl. I love pink. I love flowers. I love candles, and kitschy music, little notes, and what not. This weekend will not be different. I will have a great time I am sure (yes, I'll be gone for a few days) but I will not engage in the craziness of this so-called love day. However, a little romantic thinking or additional pink collage creation never hurts - so here we go. Here's my Valentine's Day collection. I really would not mind owning all of these; especially the Kate Spade purse.

 Happy Valentine's Day Weekend.
As you know I don't like this so-called "holiday". 

It is just yet another day where we are forced to show our loved ones that we care about them. 

What happened to all the other 364 days? Do we hate them then? Seriously.

Despite it being this pink holiday weekend, it is also a holiday weekend in general that gave me an extra day off from school. So excited. I should seriously look into working at schools.
If you got off, and live in the US that is, do you have anything fun planned or are you stuck working?

As for me, I'll be out of town for a while with my favorite person.

We may even drive to Disneyland (which isn't that far away from where are) and say hello to Mickey.

Yet, besides that we just wanted to enjoy the extra day off from school. Yay!

This month's theme on Long Distance Loving is all about Valentine's Day.  

I never cared about Valentine's Day. Nothing has changed this year. I don't get this day. Yes, apparently it's a day lovers show their appreciation for one another because, well, they can't on any other day. Seriously. I don't like this day. Also, this day reminds me of my late cousin who sadly won't celebrate her 23rd birthday that day. So, no - Vday is not for me.

I have to admit I am going on a date this year...but that's about it. I will dress pretty much what I shared above because well, that's my style. I love pink, I love comfort...and black! :) Pink and Black go so well together, no?!

My love for pink....

It is no secret that I love pink. Purple trumps pink but my love for pink is eternal. I cannot explain how girlie I become when I see the perfect shade of pink that fits with whatever mood I am in. It's a combination. It's not just pink. It's not any pink either. It just needs to fit. With Valentine's Day approaching - those of you who celebrate, are you ready?! - I thought it was appropriate to share my love for this lovely girlie color.

Last time I did I was probably forced to when I was eight and attending church and all.
So this year it's kind of funny to go for a 40-day "cleanse".

Today, though my thoughts and my heart are with my fellow Swiss people.
It's that time of the year again when everything goes crazy in Luzern.

It's that fifth season again that if you don't have that fever you just can't understand how I'm feeling being so far away from everything. It's like not being home for or not watching the Super Bowl if you are a die hard football fan. My heart aches a little.

However, I watched the beginning of our fifth season online and it was beyond amazing.
It was worth it and I loved it.
It may not even make sense to anyone but it purely made my Wednesday...

...and today I just wish I would be in Luzern celebrating a great and fun season!
