Wishful Wednesday - Language

Finally I have time to update, read blogs, comment on most of them (hopefully), relax, wash clothes, do taxes (ok, that'll happen on Sunday!), and all...including...participating in Kelsey's Wishful Wednesday series. Love it every time. I felt bad for not doing anything for the past few weeks. I never had time. Yes, a lame excuse but still...whenever I thought of it I was too exhausted or it was Thursday already. So yeah, I'm happy I can participate this week. Woohoo! :)

So, this week's topic is

'I wish' .... I was fluent in another language in addition to English, and it would be __Japanese__!
Oh I wish I could actually speak a lot of other languages...but obviously I can't.
I chose Japanese because it's a language that interests me. Now, some of you would say "why this one?" or "why not Spanish or French or something "normal"?" Well, the so-called "normal" ones are easier to find. However, it is not as easy to find people being fluent in Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Greek, or something not so very common. And that's why I chose Japanese.
Besides I took it in college and loved it. I regret the fact that I didn't go on studying it more. I get to hear it from time to time when I visit my godfather (his wife's Japanese) or even at work, but still...I wish I could speak it (or read it for that matter) and shock everyone around me. It'll help me find better jobs or give me better opportunities or just have a ton of fun while I use it...because rare is what's wanted these days; it equals good and interesting.
;)

So, in order to read what others had to say hop on over to Kelsey's blog and read some more answers.
I know I will.

Happy Wednesday.

xoxo

Japanese is a great pick! I think it's a beautiful language, very hard to learn but would be pretty awesome to be fluent in! Thanks for stopping by earlier, your blog is adorable! I'm a new follower :)

LOVE the japanese language! IN Elementary School we had a sister school in Higoshamariyama Japan and I was part of a Japanese Club where we learned about the language, the culture and the art. :)

My cousin has been taking Japanese since it's his first year in college and he says it's really awesome but hard.

Asian langauges are so hard because there are so many intonations. My brother in law took Chinese and loved it. I struggle enough with Spanish!

All of those "non" interesting languages are EVERYWHERE in Seattle!! That's when you know there is culture diversity!
