I'm back!

Hello my lovelies,

I have been MIA I know. It's been a hectic week but a very good one. I spontaneously went down to Southern California for my friend's birthday weekend. It has been four full months that I had been so you can imagine my delight to finally go back. My favorite person wanted me to go there for so long because he knows how much I miss it and how much I miss having friends around. It's hard up here. It's really really hard. Going to see my friend for her birthday was, I think, the best thing I could have done. The flight {and the anxiety beforehand} was worth it all. I am glad I went. These five days were worth it. I am rejuvenated, thrilled, excited, and just happier.

This trip is also the reason I wasn't online all that much. Plus, my phone died three times on me. Fully charged the battery decided not to work and baaaam I had no phone or access to the outer world. I felt miserable. Really. Phone is back on but who knows for how long. It's an oldie but still a goodie, so fingers crossed Santa brings me a new phone or 2015 means I will get a new one...I know I will.

So, bear with me my readers...I'll be slowly catching up and slowly getting around to posting again. I have yet to wrap presents, send them, and write cards...so this week will be BUSY. Good busy...so I won't complain.

Hope this holiday season has been good to you, and that you are enjoying this month as much as I am enjoying it. Cannot believe we are already passed mid-December!! What on earth?!

Oh and if you were wondering why I chose that quote to begin this post with...lots has happened. You often dwell on what ifs and whys but in the end it's all about the NOW. I learned that certain people in my life just have to be left behind. Not because we fought, or are fighting, but because they don't accept me for who I am or for who I have become over the past twenty plus years. We all change, but we can still accept each other, no?!

Have an absolutely awesome day.

Rainy Random Weekend Update

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/329325791471844854/

I have been MIA for the past week. It was a perfect way for me to unplug and enjoy life. I did not touch my computer once. Even though my Thanksgiving didn't turn out as planned it was still a good and long weekend. I think I have not watched this many Christmas movies or just regular films for a very long time. It felt great. I even introduced my favorite person to some films he had never watched. I had to watch a few of my favorites - so thrilled he lets me introduce films to him he may actually like. He liked this one a lot. Granted, he'd prefer action packed, bloody stuff....but well, for this holiday season he decided to go with the simple one; then again, hew as tired from working all week long {even on Thanksgiving} so he just plainly gave in. Haha!

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/46865652341805967/

I could go on and tell you about the films I watched but this would end up super long and quite boring. Also, it was constantly raining so that meant I was trapped most of the time watching films until my eyes would not stay open. On Sunday however, I was a happy girl. My favorite person finally had a day off {before his entire week of vacation started} and we decided to go against the rain and see the California Automobile Museum. It was a great way to enjoy a cold and gray Sunday. Plus, when I see cars from 1906 and 1926 and 1938 I get a little weak...so much history, so much those cars could tell us...plus, that prestige they provide and the elegance they carry with them is just impeccable. Today, cars don't have this beauty about them anymore.

Just looking at these I feel the history coming back and all. I swear, I am definitely born in the wrong decade...or, as I always say, I might as well have lived in the 1930s - hair, shoes, and all.

Time to fix the leaking roof now...wish me luck.

Love is in the Air

I have news my friends. BIG ones.
For starters, I officially left Orange County behind and moved up to Sacramento.
My favorite person and I both moved in, started unpacking, and making our tiny apartment home. There's still a lot that needs to be done so it really feels like home; all in due time though.
I have yet to get used to Sacramento. Change was needed. I am not sure if I am completely ready for so much change. Yet, the area we live in is gorgeous. It reminds me a lot of Pasadena. I feel like I am going to walk into some of the Walkers from Brothers & Sisters. Seriously, it's really really beautiful here. The temperatures however, ohmygosh, that is a different story. I am used to heat but this heat is weird and unfriendly.  All in all though, besides the terrible and unprofessional internet/tv service problem we have had, our first month in Sacramento has been good. Updates to follow, of course.

Second, I owe you a few updates...my Birthday Weekend for sure. :)

It was a fun and long weekend. I enjoyed it immensely, and loved spending time with close friends/family.
The photo below was taken at Thousand Step Beach in Laguna Beach. We had a fun day there, and got a little sunburned...and I still have the tan today. YAY.

And, since the title of this post is Love is in the Air...well...the BIG news is...
...I'm engaged.
Yes, my favorite person proposed and I said yes.
This has not just happened, it happened a while back in May and I had the hardest time keeping it to myself. Yes I waited this long. I know. Yet, some things just needed to settled in and be quietly celebrated. It has not fully set in yet that I am actually engaged to be married but soon it will. Some of you may think, wait, what? How is this possible when we never fully heard of him or any relationship whatsoever? Well, I mentioned him here and there, but never made it public. I am not one to boast, and I just don't feel like I needed to share details about our relationship to the whole wide world. I love it when others do, it is just not my thing. Hope this is okay.

But yes, that's the BIG news my readers...and that's also my Monday Morning Gossip. :)

Linking up with Leeann and Kimberlee.

The Time I (Almost) Lost My Patience

Hi my lovely readers,

I am back; at least for today. Bear with me. Thank you.
****
Before I tell you the story I'd like to point out that I am typing this from an open wifi connection I found on our property (given by our apartment community yet not necessarily with the best connection hence my non existing posts and comments). Also, I would like to point out that I handled it all sooooo very well.

May 23 I graduated and celebrated with close friends. I was also packing my belongings because I was soon about to move over 600 miles north to Sacramento. May 28 is when my big birthday weekend took place. Initially I wanted to invite people and get together but then thought - due to my move, my life changing decision to move in with my favorite person, and the apparent truth that I won't be seeing my mom and friends over the summer - it was better to keep the partying short, simple and only with close close friends. Also, if it would have been a big number to celebrate maybe I would have reconsidered.

Anyways, my birthday weekend was more like a week. We saw Maleficent at El Capitan, and let me tell you (and I'm sure I am so behind on this)...it was an amazing film. Angelina Jolie's performance was perfect and I am so glad my girls and I went out and saw it opening night! We also went out for lunches, dinners, cocktails (thank you Rooftop Lounge in Laguna Beach), brunches, bowling, movies and had a bitter sweet ending to it all.
It was a busy pre-Birthday combined with graduation, moving away, and happy future celebration...busy busy.

{via}

On my birthday I moved. Well, we moved.
It wasn't my favorite thing to do because not only did it involve driving 7-8 hours (waking up at 3 and leaving before 4am to not hit traffic with a trailer behind us) but it also involved moving furniture, realizing that I no longer was in a place with familiar stores and plazas, and that my life will be different.

I am so glad I had guest bloggers helping me out during this time.

I'd like to thank each and every contributor for their posts and appreciate their help.
Plus, I enjoyed reading the posts...so if you haven't read them yet, please hop on over and check out

Every move involves some kind of hardship. Not only is it a new place, but in our case also a new city/area and we had and still have to get used to it all. Things need to get organized, changed, and we need time to settle in...etc etc. Everything worked out well BUT the internet and TV connection. As of right now, we are still not having either installed, and the way it looks it may never happen. They called and said tomorrow between 10-12 but I only believe it when I see a channel finally flickering on our TV and me using my laptop from somewhere in our apartment. Only then can I breathe and smile again. Kidding, I'm breathing and smiling but not having tv and internet for an entire month can be frustrating. I never thought it would feel this bad but yes it is.

The only company that works in our area has the most impossible and seriously worst customer service. They have an issue. Literally. Today marks week four going into five of an hopeful installation. Again, I only believe it when I see it. I mean, wtf?!?????

Not only did we miss out on tv (yes redbox and our DVDs helped a little), we also missed out on the internet. The hotspot thing on our phones only does little work, and I wasn't willing to walk 30 minutes to Starbucks to get free wifi (if working) just to check mails, update everything, and apply for jobs. I was devastated. Also I lost touch with the outer world. Hahahahaha!! My mom sent me updates on soccer scores, and occasional other news. My phone was too small to check news, updates or read blogs; let alone apply so I can finally earn some $$$$$.

Last week I hit my low point. I was ready to go off in flames. Explode. This weekend I wrote and orally practiced (yes yes! - I am a nerd) a whole written speech and statement to this company. I am going to (again) complain about the poor and unprofessional service we have been dealing with and given. I want compensation. If they come in tomorrow (yes if) and it all gets installed I will be surprised. If they show up tomorrow, and still have the nerve to charge us something for this month my patience will be gone. Let me rephrase, no matter where you live and read this you will hear me scream!!!!!

I have patience. I have real strong patience. I could have exploded the first week, or the second or the third. But I did not. Today? My patience is gone. I'm holding off from exploding. I handled it well so far but truth be told, I can't hold it in any longer. I'm done. If need be I'm working my butt off to talk to the founder of this unprofessional company or someone wayyyyy up there because I do not tolerate any more waiting. I simply do not. Not fair to us, not fair to friends, family, and holy cow, not fair to any future prospective customer of theirs.

So my lovely readers...have I lost you?
I probably have. I needed to vent, I needed to share and most importantly I needed to reconnect. Well, still do.

If I still have your attention I thank you.
My regular posts will be up soon again...once our month-long dilemma of no internet will be resolved. In the meantime, stop by Instagram or Twitter...and keep in touch.

Miss you all,

xoxo

If you give a little love, you can get a little love of your own

I'm back. Not completely back but I'm back online, back in western Europe and able to start a computer on my own wireless and type again. And, I have time. Plenty of time. I just wanted to say hi and let you know that I'll be back and that you may have to except some sort of comments from me in the near future. Also, as I am still unpacking and settling back into a colder and wetter last days of June in Switzerland and/or Germany, I thought I'd share with you the following video.

While I was away in lovely Istanbul, and while I was probably annoying you with twitter *or even FB* updates that didn't fully make sense to you as we were experiencing something no one had experienced before in Istanbul, let alone in Turkey...I came across this video. My friend posted it and I thought it was perfect. It's exactly what it means to be human and to act like one. In times like these we all need to be reminded to act kind to one another, regardless on how we are feeling in that particular moment *I'd have a story to tell you, please remind me of the cat-hater!*.

But until then...enjoy the video.
And...if you happen to know where this video originated let me know. I'm unable to find out. Not sure what I'm doing wrong today. :(

And don't forget...GOOGLE READER IS DYING PRETTY SOON. So, follow along vie bloglovin' or feedly or email or anything else you can think of. I'd appreciate it.

What if...

...you woke up and would not know where you were?

This scenario happened to me twice. Once I forgot I had jet lag and didn't know what was right or left, and once, I just came out of the operation room in a hospital. No worries, I'm okay. This week has been just weird. Not only was it Monday, that once again showed us that we are not invincible nor Godly, and that no matter where you are in the world you always find someone you are linked with or linked to so to speak that had to experience something as horrific (and as newspapers claim it, simply tragic) as what we all saw and heard on Monday. One of our professors ran too. He was fast enough not to be at the finish line when it happened. It just makes our world so much smaller.

So, yes, what wold you do if you woke up and would not know where you were?

I'd hope I'd see the following face. Every. Single. Day.

Yes, sorry. No guy photo. But this little fellow is my guy, too. He needs a bath and a major haircut...but seeing him in the morning curled up next to me on the pillow waiting for me to open my eyes...this is the best. I instantly know where I am. But don't be fooled. He's a cutie pie but has a little demon in him sometimes. Just when he doesn't feel like being the cutie pie and lover he actually has to portray. :)

So, how's your week so far?
I have to admit I've been a bad blogger.
It's been insane lately...but good thing is, finals are around the corner and after those I can relax. My studies in general are going well. I have awesome friends and classmates who keep me sane and entertained. Who doesn't like random texts at night telling me I'm a sinner because I haven't been out to have Sushi and Sake for the past two months? I just love it. Made my day, trust me.

This semester will be rounded up with two concerts, one wedding, a pet expo, the Color Run, my bestie visiting, some shopping moments, beach days, and a pre-birthday party! Then, in June and July I'll be in Europe. I'm already counting down the days until I'm back here in SoCal. Huh? Wait, what? Yes, exactly. That's how much I love it here. ;)

That's it...my random update for today.
Confused? Let me know.
I might as well confuse myself lately.

If you miss me, and want to know what I'm doing follow me on Twitter or Instagram. If I'm not here I'll be certainly over on those sites.

xoxo

Life is Good

Yes, you are reading right.
Life is good my lovely readers.
Not only am I back in California, I also won an awesome giveaway, was sent free dish soap bottles to try, and am enjoying hazelnut flavored coffee each morning. Yes, life is good. Oh, not to mention I can finally watch TV shows online again. I know, I'm spoiled.

Also, one of my best friends in the whole wide world is about to become an aunt today or maybe tomorrow. I'm rooting for today just because it's a great date. My grandma's birthday (rest her soul) was always special to me, and January 17 would be just a great day to be born. Although June 2 is an even better day but we're not going there right now. ;)

School starts next week, and ugh I am not ready. Seriously, I still ask myself every single day why I chose to go back to school but it was either that or stay in Europe and be miserable. I may not always be the cheerful girl I want to be here but I am living life, I am not experiencing altitude problems like I often do in Switzerland so yeah...I am doing fine.

So, Thursday bring it on. I am well aware of the fact that is' 10.30am and I could do something else than stay online...but oh well. I know. I know. Let me just enjoy a few days without any homework, reading and writing assignments, or stress...just walking around in your sweatpants all day long makes life even more special. ;) I'm sure most of you know what I mean. ;)

xoxo

Quote of the Day

Really, this is what I wanna do today.
No school, no waiting, no listening, no taking notes, nothing...

November 28, 2012

Coffee Time

Most of you know, and if not now you will now for sure, that I love coffee. I believe my unidentified sister is Lorelai Gilmore of the Gilmore Girls who once said that coffee runs through her veins and not blood. Yeah, that would be me. And yes, I know it's a fictional character but come on...give me a break, here?! Thank you.

Can you believe that I haven't had any in two days?!
I could not believe it but it is true. Last time I drank some of my favorite liquid drink was Sunday. Oh boy.
And yes, it doesn't do a thing to me. I just love how it tastes (not always to be honest here), and I love that I can sit back on the sofa and sip my coffee and watch holiday movies. YES. That's so me.

I have exactly three weeks left. Two weeks left of draining school...and one week then with finals, all of course within two days. Great, really. I'll be probably crying, whining, and what not...but hey, it needs to be done and then it is over. Done. My winter break can start on the 18th, technically on the 19th at exactly 10.45am. YAY???? Of course YAY!!!

And then I'm flying to Europe. Cannot wait.
Actually I could wait but I wanna see some snow, experience the cold and all that.
So yes, if you don't know it already I'll be spending the holidays in Europe...in cold and tiny Switzerland.
It sure will be fun. I hope.
And I believe I will be having another blate again. Cannot wait for that to happen either.
Life is good so far, not great, but good!! :)

Hope you are all doing well.
Will update soon with pictures but I've been so busy and so lazy that I really did not feel like spending hours in front of a computer unless I really really had to (school wise).

And to close this beautiful blog post of today....
...a few more pictures of my favorite drink.
I know I suck. ;)

Quick Hello

via my Instagram

Hey everyone!
I am back in California.
It is hot. It is sunny. And it is overwhelming.
All in a good way.
I am still jet lagged but am getting slowly back to normal.
Suitcases are empty, and I'm about to work on a few things so I am ready for school.
I wonder what made me go back to school.
I know there is no shame in going back to school and learning more.
Trust me, I always liked school but thought that after I graduated I would never return.
I could never image going back to school and learning and studying and turning in stuff again.
Now I am doing all of that.
It is not as weird as you may think. And quite honestly, I am glad I am doing it.
With 18 or even 20 you just do something so you're doing it.
Some of us have passions and we go for those...but in general we are just going to college so it's done.
Today I see things more clearly.
I am not looking forward but that's normal.
If I was working I wouldn't be looking forward to work either.
Same thing.

But I digress...
I wanted to say hello.
And I also wanted to say that I will be writing regularly again soon.
Just give me a few days.
I am still officially on vacation.
I need to enjoy that, no??

Hope you're enjoying this week.

xoxo

And I'm back...

...I've missed this community.
Did you miss me, too?!

Istanbul was beyond amazing, and I am proud to say that whenever I leave the city I leave a little bit of myself there, too. After all, I have Turkish roots...my mom grew up there, a few of my relatives live there, and ever since I turned two I've been visiting the city once if not twice every year. It is part home to me, even though we all know that home to me is a relatively difficult term these days. Last week I was asked where I lived. Hmmm...is it Los Angeles or Switzerland, or something else even? I went with Los Angeles because that's what I'm going back to in August...but it somewhat felt awkward saying it. In a good way, don't misunderstand.

So here I am, back to the cyberworld.
Regular posts will hopefully appear soon...with updates of course.

I know you want to hear and see a lot of updates.
I know I would.

In the meantime...here's a music clip I haven't seen in ages, and since I just heard the song on the radio again I had to post it here. It's one of those songs that reminds me why I love living in Europe. Enjoy! And don't worry you don't have to know Italian... :D

I'm alive! - My weekly recap

Dear readers,

It's been a whole week that I officially blogged. Luckily, my sweet friend Sierra from Ocean Dreams spontaneously asked me if she could guest post and hey, I hardly ever say no to that. Maybe she saw how lonely my blog looked. Maybe she could read my mind, too.

Either way, thank you girl for helping me out and writing about one of my favorite things. I love being a teenager...eh...okay, I'm not but I still love those shows!

Hope you all had a great week.
Mine was busy. School was being a little b***h but we got Thursday's class cancelled so that's always nice.
On a very bright note I enjoyed one of the best skype dates with a dear friend and her children. Can't wait to see and hug them all again. Not to mention all my other friends and family. I'm counting down the days it's not even funny anymore!

Wednesday and Thursday were and probably today are birthday celebration days. Why do people around me celebrate birthdays all at the same time?! Ha, I enjoy it though. It's always nice to meet new people or see familiar faces again. We gotta live life...it's just way too short.

Tomorrow I'm headed for the movie theater...that is, if nothing comes between our plans. And it's worth going because we'd be getting extra credit for a class...if going to the movies would always get me extra credit I'd be super happy about that!

And next week (I can't believe it) I'm going to be having so much *running* fun with Leeann from Join The Gossip, Meg from Henning Love and Marjan from LocalLiving in Orange County. And I think I am gonna see a few more "familiar" faces that day. It'll be fun!

April, so far you are giving me reasons to laugh again.
Thank you.

Have a great weekend....

xoxo

Still Alive...

I miss Man Candy Monday.
I miss funny Monday posts.
I am behind.
I am lazy.

However, I'm hoping things slow down by Wednesday and I can fully be MOI again.
We all want that, don't we?!

Happy sneezing day...
...I seriously hate my allergies.

But I kinda love them, too.
Say what?
Yes.
Because I've been enjoying warm weather...
...it's either sneezing, and having slightly red eyes, or freezing weather in Europe.
I'll take the sun.
For sure!

Oh, and I think I'll be having a fabulous spring break...soon!
YES.
Soooooo needed!

January 5, 2012

January

Hey y'all!!!

How has this new year been for you so far?
I hope you started it beautifully and are enjoying life and love and everything else.

My old year (the day of the 31st!) ended with a fabulous get together with my bestie Sierra and my other bestie from Philadelphia. We had tons of fun exploring areas we either had heard of or had known existed but never had a chance to even visit or go/drive through. It's always the same. Tourists know more about our the city we live in than we do. Sadly. But I think we covered everything on my friend's list that she desperately wanted to see or drive through...and if not...we shall cover all that next time she's in town!!

I have also taken pictures while my friend A. visited sunny southern California and I'll share them soon. So stay tuned. I promise I'll share them.

However, right now all I want is rest and find my little path on this blog world again. I have been a bit missing in action which can be indeed a relief for a while...but to be honest, and we all agree on that I know that much, I missed blogging. I missed reading your entries and following your fun adventures, or not (!), or just reading about new decoration, life events and what not. My daily inspiration reading was neglected and now I am hoping to catch up on everything!

Then again, school is back in session next week (yuck!) and I hope I find some downtime to entertain you all.

Now here's a little question for you my lovely readers (old or new)...is there anything in particular you would want to hear more about, read more about, or so? Let me know. There are moments in my life I feel I have nothing to share or talk about (although again I have to say there's really no such thing as a writer's block!), but if there's something you'd think would be awesome for me to share or write about let me know. I'm open for suggestions.

With that being said...let me pop in two more aspirins and sleep.
If you are following me on twitter, you know I've been having a huge headache today and it seems to go nowhere. I even left the living room and headed to my room so I can quietly stay sane and not cry all the time because this stupid head is having issues today. I'm telling you, loud noises and even people talking is not the best thing right now.

xoxo

November 1, 2011

Happy November

When I grew up I was looking forward to November 1. Yes, not Halloween but November 1. It was the first day during our first half of school year that we got off. I never knew why but I really didn't care either. Today I know what November 1 stands for and although I do not have any classes today, I am not entirely happy. Today, my thoughts are not here in California but with my family and one friend in Europe. My thoughts are also with whoever out there who has lost someone special in his or her life.

But to a slight brighter topic...I cannot believe it is already November. How did that happen? Soon enough 2011 will be history. But of course Christmas needs to happen first. YAY!!! The past ten months have been quite interesting, challenging, eye-opening, tragic, sad, and simply worth it.

Ten months ago I celebrated the New Year with my friends here in California, and baaammm I am back in California - for longer than just the regular month and a half. Ten months ago I didn't know I would find myself in a so-called pickle for the past four weeks and end up sick. I am doing slowly better now, but really I would have never thought of October being such a pain in the butt. Emotional stress, and pressure can make you extremely sick. Trust me. Ten months ago I would not have thought to get sad every time I hear a few particular songs that would remind me of those harsh and brutal three days in March. It pains me and at the same time gives me strength. Ten months ago I would have never thought I'd be writing this today either. Life has changed quite a bit for me. I am not sure whether or not this is the right path in life but hey, don't we all just follow certain paths in life not 250% sure if that path is the right one?
Ten months ago I would have never thought to be much closer to certain friends, and to have lost contact to those that I thought would care more. Life and its constant ups and downs.

In other words...I just wanted to say hello and tell you that yes I am still alive, doing better and looking forward to this month to be a fantastic one. I want to do things, explore places, meet people and friends so I can clearly say that yes, I lived this month as strongly and as beautifully as even possible.

Enough said.
Sorry for the weird post, but it just needed to be said.

Happy November!!!

September 21, 2011

Happy early weekend!

Guys, I found time to blog...can you believe it?
I wanted to participate in two weekly fun posts Leeann and Michelle do Mondays and Wednesdays but nope...I've been too busy studying my butt off with weird books and notes from my humanities class. I had a gigantic test today and I have no idea how I did. I have mixed feelings. I studied well but once that paper with all kinds of questions was facing me I froze again. I wrote and answered that's for sure! But I am not sure if I did it right. At least I wrote something and shared my thoughts on it not like others leaving after 30 minutes and going home. This by the way, freaked me out. Who leaves a test in 30 minutes when you have 90 minutes left to work on a test? At least leave after one hour. So not sure what they did or didn't do. Then again I don't care. :)

So, if I'm not overwhelmed with books on human nature and civilization and sexual drives (yes, I said it!) I try to sit back and relax, either while walking the boys (or do they walk me sometimes?!), watch the News (have to admit my guilty pleasure is the morning news from 7am on), and watch all kinds of TV shows. I need to redirect my passiveness after class and homework towards something else...and just walking to get back into shape alone doesn't do it...I need more. So, I'm thankful for any kind of distraction, TV included. :)

My favorites so far? Besides Hawaii 5-0, Castle, the Vampire Diaries, Modern Family...I found some new addictions. The Ringer is one of them, and hopefully Hart of Dixie too. The latter one had some fun event going on yesterday and you can read a bit about it on Annemarie's blog. I am excited to see it!

But to show you some proof that I am alive and doing well, despite my vague tweets and blog posts...here's what I look like when I am happy and playing with dogs, or trying to make them look at the camera! *major fail* And sorry, it's a phone pictures...not the best quality! ;)

Have a good Wednesday!!

My 7 links

A while back I was thinking "hey, I should take a look at my old (embarrassing) posts and just see how awful I did" and then a few days after that, I was tagged by awesome Erin from Living and Loving in L.A., and I just knew I had to do this post. Granted it took me a while to do this but it was so much fun to go back and read my posts and relive what I shared with you. So, anyways, without further blahblah here's the tag-post I'm going to share with you all.
Thanks Erin!!!

These are the rules:

Why beautiful? Philly is beautiful! By just going through these posts made me miss the East Coast a little more. I had the best time with friends and family and I just fell in love with Philadelphia. Never thought I would, but I did and I cannot wait to go back there soon!!

Oh Pinterest...

For some reason my participation that week was greatly appreciated...haha.
I am also very much in love with this picture!

Most controversial

Happy Friday

I chose this post to be the most controversial because again, I bet you we have forgotten most of this. I could go on here and lecture you and me about how fast time goes and easily we forget and how very superficial we all can be, and even are. But I won't. I won't tell you that. It's not the place nor the time to do so, and I believe deep within we know this. Do we accept our ignorance? Maybe. We shall never know.

As much as I didn't want to share this again I simply had to. It felt good writing about it, and it still feels good today. It helped a ton and I am grateful for this blogger community, and its support and understanding.

J. is missed daily.
It's funny, one thing I missed on my birthday was that she didn't say "Happy Birthday", and now she'd be proud of me knowing I am back to a place I missed and loved so much. She certainly would be proud. J. you know you are missed. But I know you're having a good time, and that you're watching over us. I know you are. I see and feel it every day.

Post whose success surprised you

Love and other things

Can't say it's a successful post but I loved the pictures I chose, and I love the fact that I could be honest and write it all out. And I was surprised that I actually had time to focus on love...even just for a little or that week and month in general.

Post you feel didn't get the attention it deserved

Green is the new black!

Over the past few months I learned more about recycling and reusing and I still love it. I am also trying to teach my friends how to do it better. They throw away all kinds of recyclable items it breaks my heart. Where I live we have a trash room and in that trash room we have two slots. One for rubbish (literally says rubbish) and the other one is for recycling. There's this neat sign above it explaining what goes in there, and trust me, all those items there are usually thrown into the regular trash bag at home so I always see that and yes, I always take it out and separate it. Granted, it's not the most classy move, but hey, I gotta do what I gotta do and I am teaching my roommates to do the same. Water and milk bottles, shampoo bottles, hand soap, and even the Nutella jar/bottle thing are all recyclable. Add the Ketchup bottle, too, and all kinds of other things and you awesome. :) Just look at it. If it's plastic, or carton, or even paper or glass it is going into the recycling slot, if not it may as well belong into the rubbish slot. Easy as that.
And for those that get money out of all the recyclable stuff...you know what I'm talking about. If not, you have to go back to recycling 101 and learn about the triangle and its number indicating what the plastic stands for. ;) Hehe.

Post that you are most proud of

Fashion. Coming from me? No Way!

This post comes very close to the most popular. In fact my stats were out of control. However, I chose this to be the post I am most proud of. Not because it's fashion, and not because it hit so many clicks, but because I was writing about my friend and her passion. I am immensely proud of her and her accomplishments. Very proud!!!

So, I am done for today! Yay!!! Hope you enjoyed my little links for today.
I decided to do this fun post today instead of my regular rants or inspirations. I am not a fan of tagging people and answering questions but we gotta do this sometimes, don't we?!

Speaking of which...I am somehow tempted to do a Q&A thing and I am not sure if I should. What do you think?!

And here are five bloggers I nominate for this fun tag post:

Sierra @ Ocean Dreams
Amy @ Crazy Random Happenstances
Sam @ A Careless Man's Careful Daughter
Ashely @ She's Come Undone
Christianna @ The Girl With The Blue Bow
Leeann @ Join the Gossip

Weekend preview and Thanks!

Happy weekend everyone.
I cannot believe one week has already gone by. I've been super busy with school, buying books, organizing the room, keeping my bank statement stable, and still living live and enjoying life. Sometimes you have to step back and relax, breathe, or just sit down and not do a thing. That's what I am going to do this weekend.

Relax, and enjoy life!

I have read half of a book I will not name here because really it was for school and it's not something I want others to read unless they have to or enjoy reading crazy interesting and disturbing ideas. I also have found a way to organize my computer and online school sites so I can actually work on what our prof wants us to do. I am old fashioned. I need paper, and a highlighter. Assingments and stuff online is weird to me and will never get accepted. :) Needless to say I have to print out a lot and mark stuff all funky in all kinds of colors! ;) I also have spent way too much this past week and my credit and debit cards are all hidden because really I don't want to spend money. Most of it anyways was for school and really nothing personal. I wish I had spent my big bucks on something I can be happy about. Granted, I bought Tory Burch sunglasses, and I more than just love them but that was actually last week. Time flew by like crazy. Just wow!!!
So of course, I want to distract myself and watch TV (Big Brother!, True Blood, KTLA morning shows (I'm addicted - nothing changed I still do this!), Pretty Little Liars, Against the Wall, etc), go shopping, go swimming, help friends with whatever's necessary, and well just enjoy life being simply being me walking in flip flops in the sun (with sunscreen of course!!!!). All I want is relaxation and ha, good grades!!!

I NEED A BREAK.

Ha!

But before I sign off for the weekend I would love to thank the following ladies for helping me out while I was busy before the even more busy parts in my life started...if you haven't checked out their awesome guest blogs for me and their blogs in general you are missing out big time!

Thank you

Sam, Meghan, Krysten, Sierra, and Amy!!!!!

Happy weekend everyone!!

OMG

Hello my readers...yes it is me!! Remember me?!
Good.

It's been one whole week that a post was written or posted on this little blog of mine and oh wow I am in shock! However, I have good reasons. No, I am not pregnant and dealing with morning sickness, or just had a baby but I decided to go back to school and school and its craziness just started and I am flipping out. YES, you read right. I am back in school and it's the first week of orientation, adding classes, petitioning for classes, finding classrooms, and then going back home doing all kinds of homework or assignments for the next sessions. It's overwhelming now. I will get used to it again but right now I am just very busy, very frustrated and very overwhelmed. I know by the end of this month or even beginning of next month I will slowly get some sort of a routine in that will allow me to stop by more often and to update you on my latest whereabouts.

My latest adventure, besides school and all kinds of brain related stress was Disneyland! Yes, in the middle of the first week of class I decided to go to Disneyland. It was long overdue, so I really enjoyed a day out with a dear friend of mine, enjoying fun rides, and super hot sun! I even got a slight sunburn on my chest which is not what I wanted but I ended up with one. Sunscreen or not, it still happened. Either way that was my latest excitement of the past couple of days. More on that later on, promised!!!

In the meantime...wish me luck with school and readings....I will be back in full force soon. But I'm glad I quickly found time to say hello and share with you what is going on in my life!!!

Until next time my lovely readers!!
Wish me luck!!

♥  Selma

Ciao a tutti!

I'm back!!
Italy was amazing!!!!

How was everyone's weekend? Safe and filled with lots of fun I hope. Yes?! Please let me know it was fun. :)
I'm slowly catching up on blog reading, and am determined to read them all. It's funny how much you lose track of when you don't read some of your favorite blogs, or any blogs for that matter. Realized this yesterday by finding out, one of the first blogs I started reading is now expecting a baby blog. ;) Of course, by blog I meant a person, but baby blog sounded cute so I kept going. Anyways...things change and that soon. I so need to hurry up reading. :)

But before I leave you all for today I just quickly wanted to let you know that you can find me today at Ocean Dreams while I'm guest posting for my awesome bestie Sierra. She's away with her love enjoying beautiful California and as she's exploring and relaxing I'm having fun at her blog today. :)  Go check it out!

And yes, ignore the people in the back of this picture...tried desperately to get rid of them but failed miserably. :(  Nonetheless, I enjoyed my bubbly and I think that is all that matters! ;)

Have a fantastic day.
